I have been caring for a woman who lived in Shag Interurban for three years It seemed seemed like there were always issues. She had carbon monoxide pouring into her apartment from a vent below her unit. Although she notified the manager nothing happened until she called the fire department. The change machine for the laundry was out of service for months. It seems there are issues that no one wants to do anything about. Their garbage, recycle and compost got plugged up when the caretaker left so residents for weeks and weeks had to take everything to the garage. My client left Shag five months ago and just got a call from a collection agency about some fees due. It was the first time we knew about this. They send a letter but to the wrong address. When I asked if they called my client to settle up they said 'We don't do that.' So now, out of the blue, my client, who lives on social security, is stuck with over $270 to pay . She would have been happy to clear this up and pay what she owed but she never got the chance. They just turned it over to collections for her to be dunned.

To expensive for a senior on low income.
