Dru runs a good show. He holds weekly meetings with staff and clients together in order to figure how to improve the client experience. I have done the coast to coast tour of use and recovery but this place has me staying good today so far where others could not. ( Peace and love Dru, -BL Blackcard.)

I'm surprised there are only positive ratings and reviews of this place so far. During my time spent there, all I heard about from other patients were complaints (sure, people going through withdrawals tend to complain a lot, but it was more than that). I was only in detox but most of the complaints were from people who were in it for long term treatment, and their frustrations mostly had to do with the staff being manipulative and just like drug pushers, coercing them to stay as long as they can and feed them as much drugs as they can to make money from them and their insurance companies. As for my own personal experience there in detox, it was horrible as well. I volunteered to go there of my own choosing because of my alcoholism. To begin with, I specifically told them that I was to get there on a Tuesday and only stay for 4 days and be allowed to leave on my own terms, not theirs. (most of the staff aren't doctors or psychologists, just businessmen/women and I know when I'm done with my detox, not them. I've been to detox before with professionals whom I trust far more than them). On Thursday, they told me I couldn't leave on Saturday, or even Sunday because they don't allow people to leave during either Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Its not the two extra days that bothered me, in fact if they told me it was a 6 day minimum that would have been totally fine with me. Its the fact that they knew I couldn't leave on Saturday, and didn't bother to bring that up in our conversations before I signed up for their (mis)treatment. It doesn't take a lot of intellect or math skills to realize that Tuesday plus 4 days equals a Saturday. It is simply unethical and manipulative behavior on their part. Not something you overlook or ignore (unless you are extremely incompetent). Most likely its something they knew but they refused to divulge that information with me in hopes to keep me there until Monday. They also could have told me to come on a day that would allow me to leave after 4 days. When discussing it with them, they pretended like they only wanted to keep me there for my own safety but it was clear to me that most of the upper management are simply business oriented and not interested in treating their patients (or even have the proper qualifications to treat patients). The 'medical' staff was a joke as well. During my 3 days there, they misplaced people's medication, prescribed people the wrong medication by accident, didn't know what medications are for what, didn't know the proper dosages of the medications, etc. I left after 3 days. Not because I wanted to go drink or get high (entirely not my intention. I'm sober and will continue to remain so, which they had very little part in. I imagine staying in such a negative environment for longer than my 3 days would have caused me enough anger to relapse, but I got out of there just in time - maybe this is their strategy?), but simply because I felt mistreated and not comfortable in such a manipulative and poorly run system. Most of the lower paid staff seemed friendly, albeit naive, but most of the upper management are there for the money. Not for your well-being. If Google allowed me to give them 0 stars, I would. Look elsewhere for better care even if its a bit out of your way.

I showed up at Discover Recovery in November 2019 and I was beat down and broken. The treatment team and staff took the time to get to know me and my needs, which lead to a very effective and personal treatment experience. I left with a good understanding of how to stay sober and the tools to be successful in my life. Im very grateful that this place and these people are doing what they do.

I stayed at discover for a little over 30 days, my detox was probably one of the smoothest Ive gone thru. During detox & treatment the techs especially Theresa shauna and leticia went above and beyond to help me settle in, and when having a hard time be empathetic and compassionate. If they hadnt been around the first couple days, I dont think I would have made it thru detox. Ive been to a ton of treatment centers and the staff are what make or break them. These 3 staff definitely make this place. Thanks for helping me get my life back!

I spent some time the last few days communicating and visiting the treatment center to get a friend of mine into treatment and what an amazing staff! Everyone was so kind and very through. They have a great program and a passion for actually getting people the help they deserve! Highly recommended!
