My dad was there off and on for 5 months before he died there. There are some wonderful staff but not many. When he arrived the first time, transferred from RMH around dinner time, he was basically put in his room at the end of the hall and ignored. He called me the next morning crying - a man who I never saw cry but once before - and asking me to bring him his gun so he could put himself out of his misery. If your loved one is very sick when they arrive, you have to stay with them for hours or else they will not be attended to for 12+ hours. Its like they forget to pick up on the care for new patients especially late in the day or weekends.

Very spacious place, rooms are nice, the care was poor, mostly they sat around and offered very little help to the ones that need their food cut into smaller sections or help eating , they give a Natkin at meal time and god forbid if you need another. Ive asked and the only thing they gave was a piece off of a brown roll of paper towels that is rough and no absorbing It was the worst care I had seen at any facility Ive been to. Ive been their early, mid day and afternoon and it was all the same, if you can get them to help, it last only a minute or so. With no more help than they have they should stay busy helping residents, but being on their phones or doing word puzzles seems to be what keeps them busy. PS most of these workers should be retrained on what they need to do to ensure the residents get care for their remaining years. Thanks for letting me rantCarl Moore
