I am the Wellness Director at Bloom at Bluffton! What I love most about Bloom is that we are family oriented!!! When you come into our community, the atmosphere is home! We love our residents and care for them just as we would our own family. When asked, what I do as wellness director, my reply is always the same, I help to keep you well! We are here to help ensure that our residents live the best quality of life possible. Our amazing Activites Director, Camille, keeps our residents active and busy.. From shopping trips to museums to beaches to bowling to amazing restaurants, etc... Our residents absolutely love these outings that keep them forever young! Our Memory Care unit has its own Activities Director, Ed Knowles is the absolute best. Ed and his team knows each and every resident and gives them each the personal time and care that they need and deserve. Our memory care unit is being talked about around town as the best in the area. Our Management team works hard each day to make sure that our residents get the same care that they would get in their own home. Moving forward towards 2020 Bloom at Bluffton is definitely the one to watch. I've been the Activities Director at Bloom at Bluffton for a year and a half. It has been and continues to be one of the best experienes of my life. This position came at a time when I experienced a tragic loss in my life. From day one I have been treated with love and kindness and an understanding that only family and close friends show yet our residents and our associates have taken care of me as one of their own. The love and care that is shown in the community will melt anyone's heart. Our residents are loving and funny and listening to their life stories enriches my life every day.

As a clinical representative for local hospice, I have the benefit of getting to see every facility in the area. Each facility has their own knack that tends to set them apart. However, Bloom, in my opinion sets the standards in a lot of areas. To them, having a family feel is paramount as they are a family owned company, and the difference in that is felt the moment you walk through the door. The employees, the residents, and even their partners in the community, are all treated like family. I recently told one of their staff members that the Bloom facilities are the trailblazers of the assisted living community, setting the bar and standards for care especially through the Covid crisis. The care received here would be among the highest level of care you could wish for your loved one. The thoughtfulness and outside-the-box approach is in keeping with the highest standards of care.
