The hiring practices are appalling! I have over 20 years experience in the assisted living/medical field, and during the interview process was told I would be an asset to the company. I love what I do, I have worked hard my whole life to improve the lives of my residents, and I genuinely love what I do. I do not choose to work at a job for status or popularity. It appears in order to work here though, that is a priority over everything. I was in fact hired, given a tour, met some of the staff, THEN met the DNS which apparently she didn't care for me which was perfectly clear given the hostile reception and the way she sized me up. Well, a few hours later when I was home, I get a phone call from the administrator who tells me she is 'sorry' but 'forgot' she already hired someone for the position. Not only was I absolutely shocked at this (I had already told my family that I had the job, and we were planning to go out to celebrate this, for I had REALLY wanted this job) but I was appalled at how unprofessional this seemed. I'm not stupid, I had already figured out what had happened. The second I pulled out of the driveway, I imagine there was a 'pow wow' and based on my appearance, her 'feelings' of me without even really knowing me, or whatever excuse they cooked up, they took it upon themselves to not give me the job after all. If this is how administrators make decisions, and treat people who are qualified, love what they do and have a passion for the residents, would you want these people making decisions for your beloved family member? My advice to you is to move on.Do you really think I give a damn about being appropriate? Lets talk about that, shall we? Is it appropriate to hire someone and then call a couple hours later and LIE to them about why you decided not to after all? Dont you dare tell me about whats appropriate and what isnt. I dont lie like you do, and I have heard a LOT about you, so dont go there with me.

Bayberry was recommended to me by social workers at the hospital. I hadnt heard of it. When I visited it I was so pleased. Its not as large a facility as most and it felt more like a home. The staff are caring and loving to the patients. They make sure all needs are taken care of. My mom has been there over 3 years. Just recently she moved to memory care. I cant say enough about the compassion and care there. Im very greatful for all of them! I give 5 stars! No 6!

The staff at Bayberry is top notch! They provide excellent care for my loved one and go above and beyond everyday to help him.I would and do recommend this facility to any and everyone I have the opportunity to speak with.As to the hiring practices...I am glad they are picky because they care about their residents and want the BEST people to work for them.
