My mom is a patient at this nursing home. She is under hospice care. My mom also has a feeding tube and not allowed anything by mouth. My mom has asked numerous times, even begging at times, to have a Coke to drink. When I spoke with her nurse, Lynn, she said absolutely not. I explained that my mom is under hospice care. The nurse said it did not matter, and my mom could not have anything by mouth. I asked if I could possibly sign a waiver for my mom to have something to drink. The nurse said no and stated it was the weekend and that she couldnt clear it with hospice or the MD until Monday.I regret having my mom placed in this facility. She is dying and all she has asked for is a Coke.
