Carefree Assisted Living Center is the best facility of its kind in the Verde Valley. It is clean, well run and the residents there will tell you their meals are tasty and we'll prepared and the staff are kind and compassionate The owners plan fun days on holidays going in personally and cooking/barbequing and planning games etc. to occupy the residents. You can speak to any of the residents and staff and they'll tell you how much they enjoy living and working there. If I need to move into assisted living when I am much older, I want it to be Carefree!!

Belated thanks to the management team at Carefree Assisted Living Center for showing us and our elderly Aunt Selma around your facility last month. And thank you for inviting us to join your residents for a wonderful well-prepared dinner.During our tour we couldnt help but notice how clean everything was, including the residents rooms and bathrooms, as well as the kitchen and main dining area. The courtyard patio and garden areas surrounding Carefree were all clean and nicely trimmed. Truly a warm and inviting place to be!We spoke directly with some of the residents at dinner, and were pleased to know just how happy and satisfied they were residing in your facility. Another plus was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Now we are just waiting to get our finances together, and then with your acceptance, bring Selma to your facility. Many thanks again to your manager for showing us around, and answering all of our questions.Best regards,
Don L

I thought it would be important to share my personal experience with Carefree Assisted Living Center, as this is a profoundly important decision for many families to make. I have to say, Carefree is truly the best facility I have seen of it's kind. As a medical professional myself, I have seen many facilities and none as caring and clean as Carefree. Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Carefree as a friend's mother made her transition from this world. The staff was so caring and nurturing, not only to my friend's mother but also to my friend and myself at a difficult time. Each caregiver and nurse that entered the room showed their genuine care and love, sometimes with tears in their eyes. I am very grateful for the loving and fully attentive environment that Carefree clearly demonstrates to it's residents and their families.

My great grandmother stayed here for 4 days. She liked the place a lot and we were happy with it too until my great grandmother fell out of her bed and ended up in the hospital. We paid over $3000 for her to be there and when she ended up in the hospital and was told she would be in a wheelchair chair the owner told us my great grandmother couldn't go back because he didn't have enough staff to take care of her. He wouldn't let the money we paid roll over for the next month and wouldn't refund any of the money. Now that she is out of the Haven, she is under hospice care and back in the carefree home ( not to my liking) and not to my family's doing. The owner has called my grandmother a handful of times letting her know that if I don't erase my review, he will get me for slandering. They have changed their story 3 times on how my great grandmother broke her left femur. In my belief they don't have enough help over night to care for the residents they have. I have not gone and seen my great grandmother since she went back due to not feeling comfortable that she is there.

My 91 year old mother fell in June 21, 2017, was rushed to the emergency room at Verde Valley Medical Center. She injured her left knee badly and fractured her right wrist, surgery for her wrist was out of the questions due to her age. She was also diagnosed with dementia so going back home was also out of the question. After Verde Valle Medical Center, she was transferred to a skilled nursing facility for rehabilitation and physical therapy several times each day. My mother became depressed, angry and would not eat. I started researching facilities and was very fortunate to find Carefree Assisted Living, a facility with a wonderful reputation. I scheduled a tour, met with Gary Wilsher, owner and Monique Joy, Assistant Director Administration. I was highly impressed with the facility and staff members I met that day. The facility is immaculate, the residents are treated with dignity and respect. Residents speak very highly of the staff and always mention the great food as well as how much they enjoy living at Carefree. We transferred my mother to Carefree on August 9. She is calm, relaxed, the staff at Carefree make sure she eats. Arturo and Sandra Bernal are awesome, they are caring, kind people who obviously care about the well being of the residents. The staff at Carefree deserve high praise for the wonderful work they do. I am very thankful we found this great facility.
