Willow Pointe

I placed a good friend at Willow Pointe in December and now it's been six months and more. It's worked out very well. My friend gets meals, his laundry gets done, he gets some daily reminders and guidance and yet his independence is still respected as far as possible. He doesn't require nursing care but they do arrange some PT for him via Medicare. He's happy and healthy and if he's happy, I'm happy :-)

My grandma was here and the care was aweful there were meds on the ledge that was not even hers she hardly ever got a shower we took her out after 2 years the food was horrible and she never got a spot to eat they also lost half of her clothes what the heck is this? This place needs to be shut down the elevator was always broken 1 star

My elderly mother lived in Assisted Living here for a year. We were never happy with the care. Total turnover of staff. Inexperienced staff gives very poor care. Mother's hair was always greasy and she smelled. We moved her to another facility and they immediately found that she had a terrible infection in the crease under belly. She now has lovely hair every day and is getting wonderful care - with lots of activities. Her apartment smelled like a sewer...sewer gas coming up through her shower drain. She had ants for much of her stay. We moved her out on the 8th of the month. We were required to pay the full amount of rent for the month and for her 'highest level of care' for the 8 days she was there. $1100. I tried to speak to someone to dispute it because she obviously didn't get 'the highest level of care,' but no one would respond to me. Finally I got a letter that if I didn't pay in 5 days they would take action. I got the letter 9 days after it was written! Unfortunately there are not enough good facilities that are affordable for self-pay and that takes medicaid when the time comes. The things we were promised when she moved in never really came to be. One Star.
