Clifden Court Assisted Living

5 Stars for Clifden Court as an employer! I have worked in the healthcare field for over ten years and with only one other employer. My search for a new employer was long but well worth the wait. The offer to join the team was prompt and exceptional. The training was well above any other job experience. The staff and coworkers, starting on my first day, were extremely welcoming. I feel fortunate to be a part of a team that exudes the highest level of teamwork and professionalism. They seem to truly care about all of our residents as well as their employees.

UPDATE: Now under new management, will have to wait and see if things change. I hope and pray not - especially if they lose good staff or change the residents' care and activities. This is the only facility my mother has ever been in that felt 'home-y'. The staff is caring, compassionate and treats the residents like family. I tell my mom it's like a big house with a bunch of elderly people as one big family. She is not in the main building, she is in the west building, which is smaller and has less residents, which works well for her. It is not overwhelming, it's very comfortable and this is the first place my mom has liked and actually thrived in. Every time I am there, I see the residents in the livingroom, dining room, hallways, front sitting area where the fish tank is - in other facilities, you don't always see the residents out and about so much. She has made friends with residents, which is hard for her, she is very shy and tends to keep to herself. Her room is bright and sunny and spacious, she likes the meals and activities, and most important, the staff is so good to her. It was definitely the right choice for my mom, who has a lot of anxiety normally and is very anxious about new settings and new things. They have made her feel comfortable and safe and cared about. They work with her quirks and encourage her to get involved. When I was touring the facility, I was impressed by how many residents stopped my tour guide and said hi, a couple even said, 'we love her!' - how often do you see that? I am so happy we made the choice to have mom live there - I definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a place for an elderly relative to check them out.
