My mom has been there for over a year now. The first thing that stands out to me is that it doesn't seem like an assisted living facility. It feels more like an apartment complex. There are only ten rooms in two ranch-style buildings so residents get plenty of attention. It doesn't smell weird like the other homes I've been in. They have parties for all the holidays with a man who plays the guitar, has the rest of the band in a 'box' and sings all the popular songs from their era. All the families are invited. There are always people dancing. They put out a beautiful buffet of hot and cold appetizers with pulled pork, cold meats, sub sandwiches, BBQ wienies, all sorts of cheeses and dips, chips and crackers, drinks (even cocktails) and desserts. The workers are very, very nice. Mom says the food is pretty good (she's a picky eater), it's homemade, and there are many meals she really likes. We made a very good choice in Century Ridge.
