-------READ ME BEFORE LIVING HERE-------I was a previous worker here. The turnover rate is through the roof. Anytime anyone called out our boss neglected to tell us and always said wed be fine even if there was one caregiver on day shift. I'm sad to say having one caregiver on day shift is more often than anything. Our staffing is such a huge issue. THEY HIRE WITHOUT BACKGROUND CHECKING. They hired a caregiver who abused residents previously and when a worker told them about it they said there was nothing they could do. She already got banned from going into 2 rooms and they still havent fired her. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE DNR GUIDLINES. We were told to perform cpr until EMTS got to the scene regardless if they are DNR or not. If your parent, grandma, grandpa, ect. Is DNR and wants to live here please know this about them. Everytime we make suggestions our bosses say they will take it into consideration and then they do their own thing. What they do has nothing to do with what we talk about. In fact, it's exactly what we said they shouldn't do. I've never seen my ex bosses cover any night shifts AT ALL. And when they do come to 'cover shifts' they 90% of the time do their normal jobs and don't help with caregiving. Or they take over the med cart because it's less work. They also told us that if a resident didnt want to get up to go to the bathroom we had to do it anyways (basically force them) I never did because I was taught about resident rights. Also, when we brought up information about some residents our managers said they literally didnt even know that about them. And how they need update their service plan. Which, by the way, before they updated them the service plans were from 2015 (I think they were that long. But, I do know it wasnt from the last 3 years.) and all inaccurate. That's all I have time for and I hope this helps swade. I would never put my grandparents or parents here. Every staff member is overworked. This is the worst management I've ever had in my career.

DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE!DON'T SETTLE!!!!I worked there for 4 days.I started last Wednesday and resigned today. Not because of the job, but because the negative way the current activities director, feels about being replaced.Clearly, the current activities director doesn't have her heart in it, her words, not mine, but it is the management that has catered this behavior.I came in with confidence and abilities and was looked down on and gossiped about immediately. Activities Director is a huge part of what the residents need.So is safe transportation. I am a current Class A CDL holder.I have had extensive training. The management encourages a driver who hasn't been professionally trained in a passenger endorsement role, to drive YOUR loved ones around.Someone not familiar with the weight restriction of the electric chair lift, or the working knowledge of equipment needed for SAFE travel. She is dangerous and wreckless. The walkers are secured only by a group of bungee cords, strug together, surrounding this person riding passenger on the bus in her electric chair. Those walkers become projectiles in any kind of accident. I witnessed speeding and inside left lane turns that compromise the mirrors when turning. The current bus has one electric chair station.I witnessed the driver tying the strap of the electric chair instead of using the floor bracket mounts with clip.I examined the clip.Broken! It has been overlooked by management and has been a regular, look the other way, for repairs because the budget impeads their bonuses. The driver has never pre-tripped the bus.The seat belts on the bus that hold the passengers in their seats, do not have tension to keep the passenger tightly secured in the event of an accident or neglectful driving. They are having to settle for staff that would rather be gossiping and focused on everone getting a bonus check instead of getting a fine tuned crew and properly and safely performing transportation. The unfortunate part of this story is, I am very qualified and was excited about new and fun ideas and maintaining the transportation impeccably. I have experienced both types of environments, gossip and transportation neglect, that was tolerated, and a zero tolerance environment, so I know it can exist. The wrong management can ruin a really good crew.I worked days at this job and nights at my other job, just to make the transition of employment, that shows an amazing work ethic on my part.If Corporate were smart, they would replace the current Director that shows favoritism to certain upper management and neglect to issues that require funding. The current director is a bonus check monger.Corporate allows this by not standing up for staff.I would welcome a meeting or a call from HR, but they don't return calls when they are being called out on bad behavior. It is NOT news to corporate that upper management is very ' click' oriented.I sat in on stand up meetings that were basically a gossip fest about 2nd shift.Constant denial of responsibility to fix gossip issues and personality problems, because the director engages in destructive dialogue about workers and residents. As for the job itself, I will never quit doing this work.My heart was in this job because I represent the few workers who will stand up and say something to the bullies.I have an outstanding job ethic and impeccable reputation regarding my Activities Director abilities. But, this place does NOT meet my standard or requirements for employment.I would not feel safe letting my loved one be in the care of a team that is successfully negligent. My response to the owner,I called your office at noon on 9-11-2018.I left a message because noone answered.Apparently this is what passes for quality care and communication. I enjoyed the residents and I loved the potential for the place. The receptionist is a wonderful woman that stayed away from this behavior. She made me feel welcome and cared about her job.Perhaps some acknowledgement of her efforts are in order.

I have a family member who has lived here many years and we have loved it. The staff are amazing, very attentive and they feel like our family. My family member loves going to the many activities that are always available as well as the outings. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a great place to have their family member live.
