I have lived here for almost 3 years. The prices have gone up every year as the complex falls into disrepair and the new less-caring property owners are heartless with policy. You can't even pay for rent with the only acceptable physical currency provided by the Federal Reserve to avoid additional fees, only 'cashless society' options exsist. My wonderful neighbors needed to move out because of the contract renewal price increase.Regional staff (and above) break ADA and HIPPA laws with blanket policies that are unconstitutional and violate my right to self-advocate my own health, yet recently saved themselves costs by closing things under the guise of COVID causing further dampening of my mental well-being.There was a massive re-shingling this spring that ignored structural repairs that are needed and was a MAJOR disruption that left every single building in the entire complex (still to this date) damaged with siding and trim panels missing, seal-paper and lose panels dangling in the wind. It has rained often since the undertaking leaving these exposed areas subject to water damaged exterior walls (that will require mold and water-damage abatement later). A deeper level of disruption will happen again for our complex because structural repairs or replacement(s) are still needing to be completed. The provided appliances are all at thier end of expected life, but new appliances installed are even worse quality, louder and need repeat repair calls. This complex has paper thin walls, useless windows and doors, and outdated low-star rated heating and appliances for energy efficiency, yet we are expected to pay out of pocket for heating that is heavily needed 9 out of 12 months for basic comfort. My unit's door seals are shriveled from use and age (you can see outside from inside), and the building's outside access door to the entrance hallway needs a full frame replacement because it NEVER has closed (even after several 'repairs' the door is visibly open and broken so it sits crooked in the frame: it cannot close), so the outside weather comes straight into my place for me to heat. My family wears multiple layers to stay warm for around 9 months, it's a lot of wasted energy for my family to pay to live in a perpetually cold home. The gym has never had all the gear for the equipment since I've lived here (or a tenant/employee donated the items until they were stolen again). The hottub is chemical based instead of saltwater based (which requires a high cost and 'toxic to body' materials for safety and cleanliness and frequent closures for ph level rebalancing) and the pool is closed for many more months than it is open, yet we pay persistent rent for incomplete or inaccessible amenities. The garage we have (built into our building) is a blessing, it protects my family's vehicle, keeps it warmer and is convenient to access. The on-site staff are nice, respectful as can be and capable of running the place, but the policies they are forced to implement seem to be wearing them down. These employees just want to provide for themselves and/or family and are genuine and friendly lives to interact with, in general I like them all.Maintenance is hand-tied from doing it's best job by not getting a decent budget, and as a result, their quality and effectiveness will remain low.I enjoy the location and acess to highway and shopping, it's sad that all this goodness is so dampened by scaricty mindset of those budget and policy makers that have the option to be generous and improve quality of life for around a thousand Everettonians.Despite this detailed complaint list, I'm a positive and happy one. If you see me around the property, you will likely see me smile and wave or say hello even if I don't know you. I greet all pets, talk friendly with other renters, make friends and am always smiling and waving to our future generation. But I'm not the only one here that behaves this way; the community of citizens living here is wonderful, the past and current owners absolutely suck.
