We moved my father in yesterday. Everyone from the Executive Director, the wonderful lady who signed us up, the ladies at the front desk, the nurse, the gentleman who connected my father's tv and computer to the internet and others we've met, have been a joy to work with. Their professionalism, friendly and welcoming attitude has made the whole experience so much less stressful than it could be. This place has been awesome and should be a model for all care centers in my opinion.

Before my Great grandma had to move to the memory side she lived on the Assisted-living. We loved the decor and expected to be the same, if not better in memory care due to the HIGHER price of the rooms.... Not so*Dining room functionality- looks outdated, dents, counter looks nasty. It's sad because the aids are doing there best with what they have. Always plastic or styrofoam bowls. Folding chairs are in the dining room, and when aids were asked about it they apologized for the lack of order- even though they have no control over the furniture. Nobody over the age of 80 should be sitting on a metal chair! The furniture is not matching and looks like a smorgasbord of clutter. Lack of a manager, in the past year there have been 3 separate manages. And in the last 6 months there has been a revolving door of managers in the Memory Care. It is very nerve racking for my family to not be able to talk to somebody who knew of our mothers needs. And along with that, in the recent month I've over heard CNAs needing to be 'pulled from the floor (of memory care) in order to work on the Assisted-living side.' I understand the popular demand, but it's sad to think that they have one less aid working with patients who have greater needs due to their memory loss.Besides all of the negative- the aids and MedTechs are always ready to help and excited to assist me and my family member, positive attitudes and they are extremely close with their residents. They have voiced and their actions show that they feel like the residents are their own family members which makes me feel really good about their hard work and motive to take care of my loved ones. They were the reason we felt this was the right place for my grandma. Also the taste of the food and appearance became better in the past year- hats off to the chef!!

We moved our mother here 6 months ago and we're so pleased with the care she is receiving. The staff have gone out of their way to make her feel comfortable and enjoy every day. They have connected with her on a personal level and have shown many examples of how much they care about her safety and over all well-being.Our mother loves the food, feels safe, has made good friends and is happier than she has been in a long while. We definitely recommend Avamere at Mountain Ridge.

Admin John Del Vecchio raised the bar. John never rests until things are as perfect as they can be. I would not hesitate to have a family member in his care. The facility itself is beautiful and beautifully located. Highly recommended.

Bravo. They changed my expectations for quality facilities. They attend to the needs of the resident.. I don't think mom ever goes more than 2 hours without someone checking on her. The shifts are covered on the weekends and all of the employees are professional and compassionate. Every room is organized and clean. Meals exceed other facilities. They are the best!
