I have lived at Discovery Village at Dominion AL in San Antonio since August of 2019. I love everything about this place: my beautiful apartment, every employee, the protection and feeling of safety during these chaotic times. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an Assisted Living residence. I give it 5 stars!

I recently applied for a caregiver position here. I had decided not to attend an interview but a few days later they reached out to me again. They emailed me and called me and practically begged me to come in for an interview. Got there and was waiting for 40mins while the interview itself only took 20mins. They seemed strangely concerned that I took some time off from work for the holidays rather than if Im suitable for the job. Then told me the next step in the process would take a week and then made a comment about how I could use the work?? Wtf?? All in all a deeply strange experience. I accepted a position elsewhere shortly after.I have no hard feelings because all they did was hurt themselves. But, why put in SO much effort, only to treat your interviewee as if they are some vagrant that wandered in off the street. The hiring process costs time and money that youre literally just wasting. Makes no sense at all.

We moved my Mom and Dad there in May. Excellent facility that we call her 'resort.' My father passed in October, but fortunately my mother had already made many friendships there with other women who have lost husbands and could help with emotional support. We just extended her lease since she has found her 'home.' Btw, I see a lot of 1-star reviews with no comments. I believe that are all bogus from competitors. This is definitely a great, modern place for seniors.
