Such a wonderful community with compassionate staff that puts their residents first! Highly recommended.

We love this place. My parents moved into the facility in October of 2016. My mother did pass away about 14 months later of natural causes, but I credit the facility and the incredibly caring staff with carrying my father through. He has a nice two-room apartment with a kitchen and living room, so he has room for his big-screen TV and a couple of recliners and a dining table. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, and a microwave/oven combo unit so we can make him slice-and-bake cookies. There have been some changes in management over the past few years, but each change has added efficiency. An example...when they first moved in, the meals took a long time to serve, but the most recent change resulted in servers taking orders with iPads, which significantly improved dining efficiency. The food is actually good, and we occasionally dine with my father in the dining room, and the residents like the food and variety. It is also conveniently located next door to my fathers doctors and specialists, and the Baylor Scott & White hospital is two doors down, within walking distance. The GP comes to the facility several times a week. My father has built great relationships with his caregivers, who treat him with respect and even affection..they know us also. The facility is absolutely beautiful, and feels like a nice hotel...the interior design is classy, and there are nice amenities such as a sitting area with a fireplace, a movie theater, a pool, a pool table, putting green, a playscape for grandchildren, a nice outdoor patio. They accept pets, which helped with the transition for my folks. There are cookouts and happy hours, outings and lunches at local restaurants, and large thematic buffets and BBQs for holidays and special events. We are appreciative that they include the family in activities.
