My father has been a Brookdale Lohmans Crossing resident for the past 2 years. Safe, loved and cared for are the emotions he expresses about his time there. He has made many wonderful, new friends. And I can rest knowing that he is in a place he enjoys.

I am pleased having my Mom at this facility ! The management team is great and very caring. The food is very good with nice presentation always ! It is a great feeling knowing I do not have to worry about my Mom's care.

The BEST for us!For our unique situation, Brookdale Lohmans Crossing appears to be the best managed assisted living community my family and I have ever encountered. We believe this is thanks to the exceptional efforts of the director (Kathy), who has taken not only a personal stake in my mother's resident experience, but who also appears to 'deep dive' into the operations of her facility to ensure consistency in excellence all the way down to maintenance details (even fixing loose cabling herself). We feel like we were previously fooled by other larger and in some ways fancier facilities. In our experience to date however, Brookdale Lohmans Crossing offers: 1) true caring at the management level; 2) attention to our family member's unique issues; 3) a real management commitment to operational excellence (top to bottom); 4) a culture of friendly and inclusive residents and; 5) great food to boot.My family and I consider ourselves to have seen a fair number of assisted living communities. Both my mother and her sister require a comparatively high level of care due to unfortunate medical conditions that force them into assisted living even though they are below the average age of most residents. Between the two of them, over the course of the last 5 years, we have had direct experience with four (4) larger assisted living facilities and intermittent experience with five (5) skilled nursing facilities. Obviously every resident, situation and family is different, but the above has given us a good chance to decide what matters to us.Until now, we have been challenged to find a facility that we thought was well managed from top to bottom. In simple terms, to us this means that the sales pitch for a given facility always sounded great, but then the communities ended up treating our resident more like a number than a person. We also found that care staff often treated us like an annoyance, rather than a customer/buyer of a service and resident experience. When we went to the management of other facilities to try to address issues they would say they care, but their actions would not back that up. We never felt like we could trust management at other facilities, which is a horrible feeling when you are trying to get good care for a loved one.Since my mother arrived at Brookdale Lohmans Crossing just over a month ago, Kathy (Director) has demonstrated to us a 'can do' and positive attitude that appears to trickle down to her staff. We believe we have been treated very well by the staff we have met. We no longer feel like a number or an annoyance. Kathy has spent a great deal of time getting to know our unique needs and ensure that they are fully addressed. We are highly encouraged by our first month. Keep up the great work!!

The food here is delicious, gourmet style! Our staff is the best out of any place. We all love Hector, he is like a best friend. Our activity leader is great at the Big Band Bash, she is a delight. And I like the B-fit group. They all take care of me here.
