Country Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I went to visit a family member here today (07/15/19). While visiting I noticed there was a pill on the floor, at the foot of the bed. My family member has only been in there for 3 days and I asked her if it was one that she normally takes. She said it was. I looked down different halls and finally found a nurse. I told her that I had found it ON THE FLOOR and I wasn't sure if it was a pill that she should have taken earlier. The nurse took the pill, with gloves on, put it on the nurse's cart and proceeded to go about what she was doing....with dirty gloves on. When I told her the room number my family member was in, she said '_____'s room?' Well that's a HIPAA violation because I didn't need to know the patient's first or last name....which was not my family member. I went to plug my family member's hearing aide in and noticed that a socket was burnt and not working. Also while I was plugging in her hearing aide, I noticed her call light was on the table...at the foot of her bed where it could not be reached. My family member stated that she 'needed it earlier for help but couldn't find it.' Let's not forget the patient that was pleasing himself in the lobby without any staff members checking in on the patients. If I could give this poor excuse of a nursing home zero stars, I would. In the entire hour that I was there, I only saw 2 staff members. One which was the nurse and I had to go hunt down.

My mother has been there for a year and a half. I go see her on my lunchbreaks...everyone is always friendly
