I cannot express how much Autumn Care has meant to my family. The staff, from House Keeping to in house Therapists, CNAs, Nurses, Activities Directors, Chef & Kitchen Staff to Executive Director and even the owners of Autumn Care all play a role in loving and caring for their residents. My mother came into Autumn Care West shortly after their doors opened in July of 2018. Recently having been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, we moved her to AC West from another local memory care facility. Carol Huddleston (now Executive Director) personally evaluated my mother and provided an opportunity for my father to live along side her in Assisted Living (for an additional 8 months) before she was required to move into Memory Care based upon her need for for a higher level of care and in order to keep her safe. My father was allowed to move with her ( although he needed no services) so that he could remain by her side. My mother spent 9 months in what I believe was a loving, family environment with staff she adored and who treated her like they would have treated their own mother. There were challenging times as my mother became aggressive with the progression of her disease and her physical health declined until she was no longer able to walk and was bed bound. The memory care staff kept her safe, held her hand when she was afraid and took excellent care of her until her last breath. My father was able to be by her side and has been loved and cared for as he has mourned the loss of his wife of 58 years. I highly recommend AC West. They are a family, they are a community and they continue to be a blessing to us as my father remains there with an independent living apartment adjusting to his new normal with their support.
