Laurelbrook Nursing Home

I was hired to investigate complaints of poor sanitation and theft, what I discovered was absolutely horrifying! Absolutely unlivable conditions which include mildew, mold, infestation of rats, roach, spiders etc. and to top off the nightmare things do vanish from residents rooms. Primarily antique/vintage collectibles such as watches, paintings that the loves ones or resident's placed on the walls, jewelry, even an expensive pair of shoes that an patient had ordered custom hand made from Japan when they were younger. Of course none of the employees or any of the faculty for that matter will say anything about the matter. My conclusion from what I have observed while undercover is that they all are involved and working together, so as to protect each other. They may try to clean up their act before the inspector gets there but if they let the facility get to this state of a condition that it is in, well, then they will do it again! Plus I highly doubt that the theft of residents personal belongings will stop. And everything there was so dirty, it is just plain disgusting! I have already informed my employer of the findings and the inspector has been notified. And to those who actually care about your elderly loved ones I would strongly advise you that if you are looking for an elderly care facility, look elsewhere.

I'm so please with this place the staff is A one take care of the patients and they care about them. It's 45 to hour too get there too see them but it's worth it.
