I am very displeased with the new administrator Cindy; she obviously is getting her company bonus to fill the beds and cut staff. My mother in law is there and ever since she came, so many staff members have left and the acuity of the patients is too high for a nursing home. They have few aides, one charge nurse for both halls and the staff is beyond overworked. I feel this company puts profits ahead of resident and staff safety. I am pulling my mother out. This place has gone downhill in the 2 months since she came.

So grateful for your wonderful staff... we know our mom is safe and happy! No matter when I come ... there is someone w her or keeping her busy... thank all of you

Things are not always as they appear. At first the experience here was as positive as could be expected....right up until my dad developed a serious brain infection. In less than 24 hours he declined from significant improvement to falling from his wheelchair....losing the ability to feed himself and control his bodily functions.....including the ability to speak. He remained in this state for 6 days before finally being transported to a hospital. He is now regaining his function and mobility but not absent months bouncing between the hospital and acute rehab. He has lost every bit of progress made prior to being admitted to this facility. Additionally they have made errors in bookkeeping resulting in inaccurate and petty charges. Despite the welcoming bird display and family area I will never send (nor recommend) anyone to utilize the services at Hempfield Manor.
