The problem with this facility is that this isn't just a bad car wash or bad restaurant. Their job is to take care of aged and ailing loved ones. Their job is to make them comfortable, happy, stimulated and hold their quality of life to high standards. It is also to keep an open and honest line of communication with the family member(s). When paying 4000$ plus to ensure that care for a family member, this is what we expect and deserve. My family has been telling me of the issues going on between this facility and my grandma for over a year now. My grandma was moved to Ohio from NC for better quality of life and better care in her old age. This facility pledged to do that. Yet we soon had issues with trying to get doctors in to see her for health conditions ranging from severe coughing to hearing aids, staff being aggressive to my grandma, and staff being rude, dismissive, condescending and disrespectful to my family when they called over concerns or questions or to be the voice for my grandma. They recently moved my grandma over to the memory care side based on one psychological evaluation during a high stress time and deemed she needed to be there. They didn't move her belongings from her old room over and greatly upset my grandma over and over again. Finally I called to see what was going on. They gave me convoluted answers and Laurie Dillon was incredibly disrespectful and dismissive to me. She was going to hang up on me, talked over me, and was just an incredibly unpleasant person to deal with. I feel disrespected and confused they couldn't give me a simple answer to a simple question. However, what I am far more concerned with is if this is how you treat the able-minded family members who are merely trying to do right by their loved one, how are you treating the elderly, especially those with dementia, those that wake up with a bad attitude, those who don't have loved ones championing for them? This is truly unacceptable and despicable. My grandma will be moving to another facility as soon as we are able to with corona delays. I strongly encourage looking around and checking out other care centers. You and your family deserve better. Danbury, do not leave a reply to this with your apologies. Again, you are not a restaurant where giving me a free entree will win me over. You should be absolutely ashamed of how you treat people and I sincerely hope you do not have someone treat your loved ones like this or you like this in your last years of life.I am awaiting a call back from your corporate office.

One of the WORST places to work. The residents are so amazing and definitely dont deserve to be treated the way that they do back in memory care. They really disrespect the good employees who actually do their job and there is so much drama. Management disciplines based off of hear say, and doesnt not communicate with employees. A nurse made up lies about how the residents act to try and send them away to leave the facility. Very friendly residents and families, a BEAUTIFUL facility (one of the nicest Ive seen), but 100% not worth it. 10/10 do not recommend. Nobody sees what happens when they leave their family somewhere. When family is around, its completely different from when they leave. Awful.
