Do not think since this is 'John Knox Village' your loved one will receive good care. Not so. The care is inconsistent and inferior due to lack of employed staff and the overuse of temporary agency help. I witnessed degrading treatment of my Father by a temp CNA the day before he died. The nursing management was constantly doing damage control. Like many others, I believed the marketing and advertisements that JKV was one of the best facilities in the KC area. I was sadly mistaken.

Lack of management and poor operating procedures is quickly leading this business into actionable territory. If you aren't already here, go somewhere else.

The staff is always very courteous and kind and I am a regular visitor over the past three years. I am especially grateful for the excellent service that Pam in Central Supply has provided over the years.

Extremely upset and beyond disbelief at the rehabilitation care facility for the care of my almost 90 year old grandmother. If I could give negative stars I would. They didnt keep her pain medication schedule. Were extremely rude to my mother for insisting on keeping the schedule for medication as shes in A fib. Also, they were the medications and directions for which the prescribing doctor wanted done. They however did NOT give medications. My mom left at 9 last night and came back at 6 this morning. To my grandmother being at a pain level of 10. Absolutely uncalled for. They admitted to being understaffed. Talked badly about my mother when they walked out into the hall. I wouldnt recommend this place for any of your loved ones. Less than 24 hours in theyre care and she is worse than shed Been when being released from the hospital after being there multiple days. Weve since pulled her out of the rehabilitation and are finding in home help. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.

My grandmother is here due to a leg injury and her care has been not the greatest ever since she has been here. During the day she has great care, for the most part, her two nurses Jimmy and Shane have been excellent and attentive. But at night her nurses are terrible. Not keeping up with her pain meds, arguing with her to the point where she wants to leave, and just not listening to her. She has had great PT and OT therapists also. My biggest complaint is they just started a new system for food and before this system she was eating lunch 11:30-12:30, I came to visit today and it was 1:00 and she hadnt gotten her food yet. I walked in to her room with her almost in tears because she ordered lunch at 11:30 and still had not gotten it. Then I learned that since starting this system on Wednesday, she typically doesnt get her lunch until around 1:30 or 2:00 if she even gets it at all. That is the WORST patient care Ive ever heard of. I shouldnt have to stock my grandmas room with snacks just in case she doesnt get the meal that is promised to her. If there were another option for her to go to, we would have her out of this place ASAP. Look in to other places for your loved ones, because the administration staff here is only out for one thing and thats money.
