I was looking for an Assisted Living community after moving back to Minnesota. My 1st stop was at Lino Lakes Assisted Living & Memory Care. As I drove up, I remembered the building was a hotel many years ago, but I choose to go in and take a tour. Boy, was I happy I did!! As I walked in, there was this beautiful sitting room with a fireplace all decorated for July 4th, 3 or 4 staff members, & a few residents. EVERYONE had nothing but smiles which really touched my heart. I knew then I wanted to live there. The dining room serves 3 meals a day with staff who are ALWAYS smiling! It's hard to please everyone, but I have enjoyed every meal! I was also looking for a place with activities to help keep me a little busy. WOW, is all I can say - from games to crafts, from shopping trips to casinos, from picnics to bonfires, there is never a dull moment here at Lino Lakes! Every need is met. My laundry, my housekeeping, my meds, my aides to the nurses and to the doctors. I am well taken care of and can live my life without any worries. Last, but not least I cannot say enough about the Management Team! Every door is ALWAYS OPEN to answer any question I have had or to just say a simple 'hi' and even give hugs!! All concerns are important to each one of them and that makes my heart smile!! They also make me feel like a person and not like a census number. ~ Nancy Schmidt

It's a great place ! For the first time in a long time I enjoy coming to work..i adore the residents, it's always fun and interesting to interact with them. The staff are fantastic--hardworking and fun, no problem too big or small.I really feel the staff and administration go above and beyond to make this facility run like a well oiled machine. The staff truly care about the residents and their care. It's really great to work in a place where you can have fun, be yourself and still get your work done. The training has been fun and challenging, Kay, Deanna and Dana have been really great to work with and are always patient and polite. David is awesome!! He takes the time to talk with the residents when they have a concern and he makes himself available for staff and employees with a REAL open door policy. OH! And the food is really good. Some folks don't like the fish, but i think it's prepared very well. The first time I ate here i was really impressed, now I'm a regular.

Just a terrible place for residents, constant neglect and verbal abuse. The management team is a clique who shows up for a paycheck and gossip. Place should be shut down.

My grandfather moved to Lino Lakes Assisted Living over a year ago and shortly thereafter found his needs to drastically change. He moved from the Assisted Living to the Memory Care Unit within a short period of time. My family and I could not be more pleased with the level of helpfulness we received from the facility during his adjustment period. For anyone moving their loved one at this age, while leaving their longtime home, understands this is hard for everyone involved. I was visiting my grandfather this past weekend over Memorial when a few notable items popped up. 1. The staff interactions with him were so pleasant. You could see that the fun they had with him was sincere and that my grandfather's laugh was genuine. He truly has a laugh that will melt your heart and that made me feel wonderful to see. 2. During the meal service my grandfather was giddy over his tablemates. They sat around and told stories well after the meal. The dietary staff never once pushed them to hurry up and move on. They were inviting, they offered refills on their desserts, refills on coffee and chocolate milk as fast as they slurped it down. 3. The weather was amazing this past weekend so we stepped outside into the Memory Care patio area. Now that was a treat :) My grandfather was able to sit outside under the Maple tree with me just like we used to when I was little. The Memory Care patio is a nice enclosed space where we were able to sit for well over an hour. The staff checked on us both and made sure my grandfather was comfortable. I know that my visits are not as frequent as I would like but in my absence days like today make me feel happy about where he is. Thank you Lino Lakes for providing not only his comfort but his granddaughters as well!
