Taking Good Care of My Husband!

Chapel View has been better that expected for my parents. Two years ago they were having health scares, had no plan for next steps after their home and were looking to me for answers. The team at Chapel View helped them transition well. UPDATED OCTOBER 23RD 2018. So my original review on Chapel View Augustana. ...Was...(((Most everything was really good, nursing staff excellent. The therapy physical and occupational Second To None excellent perfect. The assistant nurses are not always the greatest the bathrooms don't get cleaned properly between uses by the Nursing assistants. The menu has pretty good choices, and they try to accommodate your dietary needs, Although they regularly miscalculate, misunderstand or forget to read clearly the choice sheet filled out by the patient and sometimes deliver the wrong food. So overall I give it a four out of five with those few minor things that need to be corrected in my opinion. The nursing assistants need to have a continual training and meetings on the bathroom cleaning, and getting food out correctly.I personally believe that would help get the food out to the clients and keep those bathroom cleaned properly as well.))))))UPDATE OCTOBER 23RDSINCE THIS REVIEW I ACTUALLY HAD A CHANCE TO TALK WITH THE LEAD COORDINATOR AND UPPER MANAGEMENT AND THEY ARE NOW ADDRESSING THESE ISSUES DIRECTLY AND HAVE CORRECTED THEM UPON READING MY REVIEW. FROM THAT DAY FORWARD THEY HAVE REASSURED ME THAT THESE THINGS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AND CORRECTED AND NOW I WILL HAVE TO REATE THEM AT A 5.I JUST WANT TO SAY IF ANYBODY HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE BEING DONE AND ANY FACILITY YOU NEED TO BRING IT TO A DIRECTOR OR A HIGHER MANAGEMENT PERSON I BELIEVE THINGS WILL BE HANDLED MUCH MORE EFFICIENTLY THAT WAY. Worst Care Ever. Woken up all hours of the night for 'tests'. The physical therapist was more than aggressive, she twisted and bent my knee in ways I've never bent it. People are nice, but uneducated. Avoid this place @ all cost. The 5s are more than likely from the staff that sit on their phones from the time they get on the floor till the time they leave.

At Augustana the residents are treated with care, respect, and dignity. The facility is one of the cleanest around, and very unique in its design. Many siting areas outside in very well manicured, comfortable surroundings, as well as interior spaces that cater to quiet areas, and many spaces available for families to visit and have get togethers. The food at the facility is prepared on site and is always very good, as the menu caters to all residents with its flexibility and as many fresh items as seasonally possible. I would highly recommend you tour this facility if you are looking for a loved ones placement, or just looking for a brief Transitional Care Unit recovery stay, as the therapy department is one of the most highly rated and recommended by its past patients that you will find.
