I recently helped my parents move in to Canterbury and found the facility, services and particularly the staff to be outstanding. Moving in during the Covid-19 pandemic was handled extremely well by all involved. The facility is very clean, up-to-date and well kept. My parent's apartment looked brand new. Every resident that we spoke to had nothing but good things to say about the facility. Our interaction with Shannon Siburt, Director of Sales, who provided our initial tour, handling the lease, and managing the move-in has been outstanding. Shannon is always extremely helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.I highly recommend Canterbury-on-the-lake. It is an ideal retirement community and senior care facility.

Numerous friends have been residents of Canterbury On The Lake through the years. Two are currently there. Our church has also participated in some service events. When we have visited weve seen pleasant surroundings, cleanliness, good care of residents plus kind and conscientious staff. Good reports from the residents and their families have come to usHaving been a Pharmacist serving a Long Term Care Facility for 26 years, awareness of red flag pop ups can happen even with limited exposure. None have become evident here.We would be very happy to have any of our family members cared for at Canterbury, including help for us if that time comes.

I'll give this a 3. Working at Canterbury on The Lake gave me a lot more experience. I actually like working hands on with the residents making them laugh and seeing them smile. Their are numerous cons to working here also. Being underpaid and expected to work like a dog. Always asking to stay over because we're short staffed. Having a manager who is not knowledgable nor professional about residents conditions or frankly just don't care. The older employees got treated unfairly. And was told that the newer employees deserve a raise when they hardly ever came to work and they expected up to cover every shift. They didn't get written up nor got a verbal warning. They have people in the Pavilion who was abusing residents and is still working their. I was terminated because I didn't stop sweeping and turn on a movie that was already playing in the movie room. This place isn't a place to work some workers are great but management isn't good at all. The nurse didn't care to do her job as well. All she would say is keep an eye on the infection. She poorly examined a resident who was getting Quetiapine, Klonopin, Buspirone, and Melatonin at the same time basically killing the lady. They dont care about the resident unless the family have a concern. The employees work very hard and that goes unnoticed.

Canterbury on The Lake is a beautiful facility full of the hardest working and caring staff. Fun activities are provided for the residents and the staff really work hard to make it a great place to live!
