READ THIS REVIEW!!A couple months ago, my grandfather was admitted to this establishment for a 'temporary visit'. My grandfather and I were of no blood relation, but I had known him since the age of 6 and he had been in my life supporting me every single day and throughout the many activities that I was associated with growing up. My family and I were visiting him every single day and my grandmother was there bright and early every morning making sure he was ready for the day. Because we were of no blood relation, and his daughters manipulated staff members behind the scenes causing them to be very CONNIVING and RUDE to us, also very inconsiderate of the relationship we had with him. The head staff members NOT ONCE cared about my grandfathers wishes and desires. He very much wanted us there, he told us everyday. However, his daughters, for no reason at all told us we could not visit him, and the staff called the police and had us escorted of the premises. My grandfather was not sure what was going on at all, he had stage one Alzheimer's at the time, his daughters took advantage of his illness and told him we didn't want to see him. When that was not at all the case. This just goes to show this establishment can be manipulated easily and really have no intention at all to adhere to the wishes and wants of the elderly. They take all this money for the cost of living and do not even care about the emotional well being of the elder. Harbour is no place for the elderly you care about. We also brought a lawyer to the facility to speak with the head of staff and she was reluctant to abide by the lawyer and his requests. This place is just very unprofessional and if my grandfather could have had his way during that time he would not have stood for any of that. We should be celebrating our elders and adhering to their desires during the last stage of life. And I was extremely disappointed with the service of the head staff.
