Our mom has lived here since Oct. There have been ups and downs, but after a recent oral surgery, she has had phenomenal care, especially from LPN Marion S. Marion has been so attentive and caring to our mom. Her presence has been very reassuring for our family.

HIGH staff turnover- which means they are basically willing to hire anyone, without even looking into if they truly are a good fit and SAFE for the residents. Patient advocacy seems to be at its bare minimum which is fairly odd considering resident advocacy should be TOP priority. Before you put your loved one in this home, please rethink. Don't let these 5 star reviews fool you. Unfortunately, not all families are able to be there as often to see what staff is like when no-one is watching. Please look at the laws as far as assisted living goes in IL and know your rights when the person who runs the place laughs off a serious situation. Place was great when it first opened now they basically hire anyone who can lie on a resume.

Update: My grandma is happy here. I'm not thrilled about her being there. I don't agree with the way she's treated but my grandma has no complaints.

This place is beautiful but it is awful to deal with management. Can someone tell me why Joshua Stevens is unavailable to have a conversation with if none of the other staff is able to assist? I had a phone appoint set for a specific time today and yes we are all busy, but send an email or something to say you are unavailable. Cedarhurst is not a company you want to get involved with.

Precious, Irma and Theodora are exceptional at their job. They are very caring and treat the residence with dignity. For this reason I give 5 stars.
