They never have hardly any staff. They leave one nurse alone to take care of 90 patients. This past weekend a nurse was forced to work 32 hours straight because they had no other nurse to releive her.

I think the record needs to be set straight about El Paso Health Care Center. It is a clean place and they have nutritional meals. The staff really cares about the residents and go out of their way to make their life's better. All in all it is a great place for people with mental health problems and who are trying to progress in life.

I cant say enough good things about this place! They have taken great care of my mother for years. They do an event once a year for thanksgiving and make everyone feel welcome. Thanks for taking care of my loved one I appreciate it.

I dont understand why some people lie unless all the fun began after I left from being there for a year and a half. Okay so I know they dont take you swimming because they are responsible for you If you drown. No, they dont take us on hikes like they say they do. They dont take you to parks and museums either. It's a tiny little town that has absolutely nothing in it. No level system there where you can earn a level to walk somewhere to get a polar pop. You cant leave the building unless someone signs you out. The only place you can go is in their back yard in a fenced up area. So if your looking to move on with your life and to get an apartment please do not go there. They have to look for outside resources thats how small the town is, so technically you'll be waiting a year sitting there and doing absolutely nothing until you decide that you want more in life. Better to go to a place where they have the moving on program to get an apartment and all, like Bourbonnais Terrace, sharon woods in Peoria. The staff are good food got pretty decent as my time ended at el Paso way before than it was not good. The activitys they have was 'move n groove' 'nails' for the ladies, movies, the Wii. Some councilors were uneducated no degrees they just hired them in that spot. Kelsey and taylor were the only councilors I really liked. It's okay to say that because I'm pretty sure the others hated me too. Most of the population in there is old so if your young that is not the place for you to be. That nursing home is more for the old folks, who come there at the end stage of their life. Some nurses are very, very nice most of the el Paso staff were very, very, very nice, easy to talk to made it into our home. They all worked together to help keep me safe because I was definitely not in the right mind and constantly trying to hurt myself. So I'll give them that much credit. No excuse the counciling director should of known that Chicago hights was a terrible home. I was looking for another home and no other homes would except me except Chicago hights terrace so up and out I went. One of the worst experiences I had in my life. I feel like they didnt care about my decision because they wanted me out of there but to send me to a place like that was definitely not okay but God did it for a reason I got out of there in 7 days and in bourbonnais terrace within 14 days a chance that I absolutely could not ruin because I know its gonna help me it already has. Plus I'm in a home with people more my age. Chicago heights had people my age and that was the goal for them to put me somewhere where theres people my age. But all of them were gangsters, moochers, thieves. Hey I didn't say for you to throw me in jail good God. I'm better now tho at least I think I am.
