I used to be an Employee at Heritage oaks assisted living and memory care .. The first time I applied I applied for full-time housekeeper , I was hired but not hired with what I asked for I was out first as a On call housekeeper th n I was immediately move to an on call Laundry Aide I asked th Director Carla Lanning if she could please put me on the schedule as full-time time she told me no ! She had put me on the schedule for two to three days a week or sometimes didn't put me on the schedule at All.... I got to the point where I felt it wasn't really worth working two too three a days a week and I left ... Carla Lanning was rude to me and would send me text message to another personal ... I didn't mind working there I just wanted / needed more grab.... I felt as if I was in the back burner and j was only suppy to be there when it was convievent for them ... Great place to visit but not to work

My uncle moved into Heritage Oaks in February. He was put in Memory Care but just today he was moved into Assisted Living. They take really good care of him there. Laundering his clothes every other day and changing sheets every week. He loves his M&M's and they make sure his candy dish is filled every couple of day. He can be a little ornery at times but Sherry has been so good and patient with him. He loves the food there. He enjoys the entertainment when they were allowed to come into the home. Hopefully soon they will be able to return. Very pleased with the service we have had from All the staff members.

I have read some of the comments left about Heritage Oaks and I have to say people are very mean and very hateful and I cant stand it. I have been working at heritage for going on 3 years in August and I LOVE it here I love my residents and the staff I have been working in the Memory care unit foe those 3 years and have seen a lot of residents come and go and its not easy. But I will say this for the people who are bad mouthing Sherry Blanchard you do not know her and what your saying is very wrong and I understand that people have there opinion and I respect that but if it were not for Sherry giving me a chance 12 years ago I wouldn't not be doing what im doing today I love my job and I love this building I have worked in a lot worse places and this building by far is the best one yet. Sherry not only loves her residents that are here she cares very much for her staff to an outsider it may seem like she's hard on use but the staff in memory care is the way they are because of that she hold us all reliable for are actions and I respect her for that.

This facility has so much potential its beautiful. Clean. They have a great chef and serve the residents well. BUT the Memory Care is awful!!!! My grandmother has Alzheimers and is here. The Aides are always so lovely and they try to assist you how ever they can buy Sherry the director of memory care comes in and treats them terribly and yells. She has been snippy with family members and has not had good words with my grandmother. This is NOT OKAY!! When I first had an encounter with her I thought maybe just an off day this line of work can be challenging I get that.... but its everyday with her.... shes terrible shes rude, shes not nice, and shes disrespectful to the staff, family, visitors, and the residents. She shouldnt be in charge.

Memory Care unit not a great place. Lacking compassion. Staff is overly aggressive with the residents. Sherry is pushy, forceful and demanding. So very sad.
