Heritage Health: Therapy & Senior Care - Dwight

After my mother in law broke her leg and was no longer able to care for herself in assisted living, we had to make the decision of choosing a nursing home. Unfortunately since we were on a time crunch of finding her a place, our first decision to place her in a Wilmington nursing home (not Heritage Health) was not the best. After researching different places, we landed on Heritage Health of Dwight. The ladies that helped us through the process were angels and kept us up to date on her status. When she was transferred there a few years ago it was the best decision that we could have made! Not only are nurses, aides, kitchen staff and house keeping are great, but she is happy as well. They are very tentative and accommodating to her needs and wishes. They do a lot of activities to keep her mind busy, have a lot of family functions throughout the year and are happy to accommodate us when we have a private party at the home.

We want to take a minute to say Thank You for all that you did for my mother, Florentine (Flo) Chally, while she was a resident at Heritage Health of Dwight for the past two years. From the moment we walked in one of the first things that we noticed was how clean it was. The staff was so friendly and made her feel welcome. We knew we had made the right decision as the next day when we came to visit Flo she stood up and walked away from us right in the middle of our conversation so she could start her rounds of visiting the residents and helping the staff with paperwork! We know that she really loved everyone there and they loved her back! The care from the 'entire' staff given to my mother was exceptionally awesome second to none! We would highly recommend Heritage Health of Dwight. We are glad we made that choice!! Boo! Ted & Denise Chally

Heritage health in Dwight is truly a role model for other nursing homes throughout the state. The entire staff treats the residents like family. The faculty NEVER smelled and the residents were always clean and well taken care of. Everyone from the upper offices to the great cooks in the kitchen were fabulous. The meals were wonderful. Events were always planned for the residents and families also. I would strongly recommend this facility for your loved one. I always hated nursing homes but this one changed my mind. Kudos for Angie Navy and Doris Fearman for their great leadership. It shows in the entire staff. Thanks to every single person at Heritage for taking care of Jerry.

My family and I witnessed first-hand the kindness of the entire staff at Heritage Health. However, it was when my 95 year old father referred to them as 'his angels', I knew that we had made the right choice. I would recommend this facility to anyone who's interest is providing the best care for their loved one.
