I like this place. I love my apartment being at end of building. There are things here that need to be fixed, like the lighting at night is limited. They need to fix all lights. We have more out than lights working. Corporate said they knew about this. I hope corporate will fix parking lot lights and the lighting on back of building. Other than that the residents here are real nice and fun. We play games, art class, bible study, and we work in the garden. I think we need some outside activities like get a corn hole game. It is good exercise and not hard at all to play. Any age can do this game and we could have teams. When weather is cooler alot of people would like to get out of their apartments. They need to discover nature in a new park that has alot of wild life and walking trails. We could take a few cars and go the park about a mile away. I saw a huge deer the the other day. Love nature....Most everyone here likes my service dog. If someone is in pain or had a bad day my dog helps them feel better.

I lived there from the day they cut the ribbon on the bldg. It was nice to live there. I lived there for 3 years and just moved to a better senior citizen community in Pooler. The bldg used to be clean. Now, the carpets only get cleaned every 6-8 months. They are never vacuumed. The stairs are full of cobwebs. I had the floors in my apartment tore up twice because the wood planks kept coming up. For 3 years, I was nominated as President of Resident services. The computer lab keeps a virus on all computers, for the past year, the printer never worked. The trash area stayed full of rodents and cats. When I left September 30th. Nine tenants left all because they no longer enjoyed living there. There is no picnic area. I Have OCD and I'm a clean freak. When I left I spotlessly cleaned the apartment. My security deposit was $250. I was told by the manager that I would get my security deposit back except for $90. She said because the baseboards had dust and the floors were sticky. I couldn't believe this. I wrote a very unfriendly letter to their corporate office about this. The company I now rent from are building apartments behind the Goodwill in Richmond Hill. If I was new to the area and new then what I know now about Ashleigh Place I would not have moved there. The management is very professional. They discuss private business with the maintenance man there. A lot of people would complain to me about that. The management sits around with residents discussing the business of other residents. The customer service is awful. I've seen the maintenance man and management yell at a 78 year old lady with Alzheimer's. She was 1 of those whose family moved her out recently. They let 1 lady with allergies stay in an apartment with mold. When she complained, they gave her bleach to clean it. She went to her doctor and the health department and they made the management move her to another apartment in the bldg. She also recently moved out. I have a lot of friends left there and they text me and say they hate it there and wish they could move too. There are many more horror stories about this place. Please think before u move here.
