I was not nervous at all to move out of state all the way to Florida to Allegro North. I was very excited! My daughter and I worked with Sheree Broadhurst who made the process so wonderful. Her thoughtfulness knows no bounds! I feel completely safe here and everyone is so welcoming. There has been no resident cases and that speaks for itself. Thank you Sheree from the bottom of our hearts for your professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. You're truly an angel on earth.

I had been other places to look at where to live and when I came to Allegro North to tour I found it was very friendly. We were sitting down in the lobby and people were coming by and they didn't know who I was and they would stop and say hello. So right away I saw it was friendly here. Then I looked at the rooms and chose a 1 bedroom and it was very nice! I'm glad I'm here. The best part is when you go to sleep at night, it's a sense of serenity. You feel good! We have a library, pool, and fitness center which I use daily. I just wouldn't want to go anywhere else and that's the difference. I don't have any family here they are in St.Louis but I'm not alone here and that's why I chose Allegro.

I have been considering Independent Living communities for some time now. It makes me nervous because it's such a big decision. I saw the advertisement in the paper that I could come visit Allegro and join them for an event with no obligations. I went to their Valentine's Event on Friday. I was immediately greeted as soon as I walked in with a welcome and a smile. I then went upstairs and the young ladies hosting the event were so welcoming! The community was stunning! The event was beautiful! They had a huge chocolate buffet with chocolate martini's. I met other resident's who showed me their apartment. It made me realize how they still had their independence and also had social events like this every week too! I would have so many new friends. They didn't even try to pressure me or 'sell me' they just wanted me to have fun and said they would call me later. I was so impressed by the community, the staff, and this event. Allegro is first on my list!

I have many years experience as an office manager for senior living communities in Pennsylvania so I know first hand how bad or how great a community can be. I wanted to THANK all of the Allegro Staff for their kindness & care that they give to all of the residents especially their above and beyond attitudes & willingness to help in times like these. As residents we can go to bed at night knowing that we are safe and in great hands and wake up in the morning to see smiling faces of people who care and with good food waiting for us. We appreciate all the staff & activities to keep us entertained, which is important during hard times likes these. From our amazing housekeeping to our maintenance staff we are lucky to have such a wonderful place to live and with such dedicated staff.

I am still very independent but realized I was getting older and was spending a lot of time alone and at home. I had been pushing off looking at independent living options because I was nervous. I decided to tour Allegro and I was surprised actually at how active and social everyone was that lived there. It made me realize at how much I was missing out on. I moved in last month and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Not only did I stay independent but I gained a new circle of friends and I stay so active. I am impressed every week at all the activities and events they offer for residents and wanted to share. Allegro actually gave my life purpose and quality.

I have been the sole caregiver for my parents for the last 5 years. I love them dearly, but it has taken a toll on my health and affecting my everyday life. It's so much responsibility and I only wanted the best for them. I started my search for communities for my parents. They were in denial that they needed every day care and didn't want to leave their home. After spending several days looking in Tampa I toured and met Ali at Allegro North. She completely understood where I was coming from and listened to the last 5 years of stories. I cried and she cried. It's a scary and huge process to convince your parents to leave their home and move. Ali was with me through the entire process. She met my parents and we went through all the things they like to do and their daily regimen. She helped them realize they couldn't do those things without me and definitely couldn't do them alone. She introduced them to other couples at the community who also had to come to terms that they needed help, but it didn't mean losing your quality of life. We had dinner with two delightful couples and my parents hit it off with them immediately. With Ali's continuous support my parents realized they could actually do more at the community than they could with me helping at their house. They offered activities all throughout the day. They could enjoy sit down dining, restaurant style, 3x times a day. They had happy hour and entertainment. They also had games like bridge, dominoes, and exercise classes my mom could go to. They never realized just how much they were missing out on. My parents have been at Allegro for 3 months now. It's the happiest I've ever seen them. It's like they got their life back. Allegro staff have been amazing through the entire process. Ali even helped set up movers for the transition too. I can't thank the Allegro team enough for giving my parents a second chance at life and help giving me my life back. Now I can go see them and enjoy time with them instead of completing a 'TO DO' list and being exhausted. Thank you Ali and Allegro!

Hi, Im Robbie Wilson, I live at Allegro North. I have been here several years and love it! My best friend is Wanda Horn. We have been friends for 60 years! Wandas husband unfortunately passed away last year, and she was so alone. I kept telling her how much I enjoyed living here. She came to visit and had dinner with me. She fell in love with the community too. She decided to sell her house and move to Allegro with me. Living at Allegro together has been wonderful! I get to see my best friend every day! We attend church together, we do daily activities together, we eat meals together. We keep each other accountable for staying active. We chose Allegro for many reasons. Monica, the Senior Living Adviser was a huge influence and her passion is evident. Shes a part of our lives now. Its also very clean at Allegro. We have housekeeping every week help us with our apartment. There are so many activities here. You chose the ones you want to do. Youre not pressured to do anything you dont want to do but invited and encouraged to participate. The staff here are great! If youre considering a community, come have lunch with us and we can show you why we love it! Our favorite part about living here is, You have your privacy and keep your independence.

It isn't often that a service, a product, a company...let alone an 'experience'...lives up to its marketing hype. Allegro North Tampa Independent Living certainly did! They not only welcomed me, they embraced me in every sense of the word.Management of this multi-faceted facility, including grounds, buildings, food service, housekeeping, socializing activities, off site events, transportation, and much more can not be easy but they really do care and really do try.It didn't take me long to realize that I hit the jackpot when it came to an attractive and safe place to stay. This time it was as a 'snowbird.' But who knows?! Such excellent memories have a way of pulling you back, Thank you Allegro!

My husband and I were looking for a community that would accept both of us. He has dementia and needed a higher level of care. The staff was so friendly and were able to get him in their assisted living and myself in Independent living. I get to see him everyday, but also keep my independence. They offer a lot of activities that we can do together too. The rates were the best we found in the area. My apartment also has a view of the water. They staff went above and beyond to help us in this transition since our children live out of state. We are so glad we chose Allegro. They cared about what we wanted for our future together.

I toured Allegro last week. I have been so unsure about moving into a community because I am very active and social. I did not want to lose that. I was able to see several activities that day and was invited to join! I was surprised at how much they do! They have social outings, trips, and entertainment with happy hour every weekend! I met Ava Nicole the activities director. I told her things my friends and I like to do for example water aerobics at the YMCA and was surprised again they had those activities on their calendar. They have a pool on site! I definitely had a misconception and realize I can keep my independence and my social calendar full! I am moving to Allegro and very excited!

Our experience at Allegro was beyond wonderful over the last three years. Alli took such great care of our Families needs and everyone was so accommodating during what turned out to be a tough time for my Grandmother. I can not say enough about the love and support that everyone showed us and my Grandmother. Allegro is a beautiful facility with a truly loving and compassionate staff!!

I was very nervous about moving out of my home. I toured several communities and the staff at this one made me feel so welcomed. They wanted to get to know me and what I was looking for and were not pushy. The community was updated and beautiful inside and out. I even got to try lunch for free and it was delicious. The girls were great on helping me move and helped pay for movers! I am so happy I chose Allegro.

Allegro is a great place to live. I was nervous about moving in and not knowing anyone, but I have made a lot of new friends that I spend most of my day with now. My favorite part about living here is that we have a voice too. We attend monthly town hall meetings and vote on things we want to see at our community and things we want to do. Management listens! My friends and I requested more outings and activities that were just for men. They added it immediately. We just went to top golf and this month we are going to baseball games, the casino, and my favorite restaurant! The staff here are great and they listen to what we want and need.

I have worked at the Allegro North community for 8 years as the Housekeeping Director. I love working for Allegro and how they value their employees. I love the residents, the other staff, and proud to be a part of the Allegro team. I would recommend to family, friends, or the community that this is a wonderful place to work and live.

I was living at another community and became very unhappy. They kept increasing my pricing for my care. My son and I went and toured Allegro. Stephanie was so understanding and listened to me for a long time. She let my daughter and I have lunch that day too. I was able to meet other residents and the food was great! I chose to move to Allegro for these reasons and because they offered me a care plan that would not keep increasing. I have been here for almost 6 months and love it very much!

I married my husband Jim and 2 months later we were told he needed a heart transplant. He had a left ventricle assist device attached to his heart while waiting for the transplant, but unfortunately he passed away 8 months later. I was devastated and felt so alone! I had been friends with Cindy for over 40 years and she told me about a community she lived at in Florida called Allegro. I went to visit and I met Stephanie who walked me through everything. I loved everything Allegro had to offer! I made the decision to move there too. I have been here for several years now and my dog Ellie and I are so happy!

Hi my name is Edwin. I retired from the Long Island, New York telephone company in 1991. My wife, 4 children, and I moved to Florida. My wife was an amazing cook and the kids loved her pancakes shaped like Disney characters. We spent many wonderful, happy years together. As time passed, my wife developed severe dementia and sadly I couldn't take care of her or myself anymore. I had to move her into a facility for help. I also had to search for an independent facility for myself that would be close to her so I could visit. I found a facility I thought was the right fit. They promised me the world, but once I moved in, it was nothing like they described. I was so unhappy. I began searching for another place to call home. I toured Allegro and met with Monica Taylor the Senior Living Adviser. She had to jump through a lot of hoops. My family was very protective especially because of my previous experience at another location. I have 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She met them all. We chose Allegro because of Monica, how clean it was, it's well managed, and the food. My favorite things about Allegro: the cleanliness, which is very important to me, the staff are polite and helpful, and the food is delicious. I bring my entire family in for meals because it's so good. I will always cherish my memories with Allegro. I was walking to see my wife everyday. Allegro bought me a bike so my commute was easier to see her daily. That really showed how much they cared. Being at Allegro I don't feel alone anymore. When my wife passed I had my Allegro family and friends at the community to help me through it. I know making the decision to move is hard, but I am here for anyone considering Allegro. When I was scared about moving Monica introduced me to another resident who was also from New York and he helped me with the transition. I will help show you the community too, have meals with you, do activities together, and talk about our lives. Come tour and ask for Monica and Edwin, 'You won't be alone anymore at Allegro.'

Figuring out the best assisted living environment for your senior is downright terrifying! Over the past few years I have, unfortunately, had to make that tough decision for my mother, father, and mother-in-law. Ive spent copious amounts of time shopping around for just the right fit for each of them since they all had varying degrees of needs. As each situation changed with our seniors, once again we needed to look further to make sure we were meeting all of their individual needs properly and I was so thankful and grateful when I found Allegro North Tampa. The sales professional I first met with, Stephanie, helped me get my parents settled into memory care and she was extremely efficient in making the process smooth and easy for me. As my father had to transition out to a hospital and then a hospice care facility the caregiving team at Allegro North Tampa were more like family as they helped me in each and every way during that stressful time. As it became necessary to relocate my mother-in-law from another small ALF that was not meeting her needs, I was so blessed to find Monica, as our sales professional. Monica was so precious to me personally with the meticulous way she tried her best to assist our family down to each and every detail! We needed to quickly relocate my mother-in-law and she figured out a plan so my mom and MIL could share adjoining suites and be close to one another and she made all of this happen quickly! The caregivers in memory care are absolutely fantastic! My life is so much easier because of their level of care and concern for my loved ones. These caregivers are the men and women who tirelessly give my mother & mother-in-law the type of individualized care that is desperately needed because of their level of dementia and Alzheimers. Ive witnessed so much personalized love and attention provided to our family and to the other residents and I marvel at how well the caregivers recognize when someone just needs a simple hug or a smile or a gesture of love that can change a seniors attitude in a split second. That only comes because the caregivers spend quality time interacting with the residents and actually know them as people. Transitions are never easy, but the fabulous staff at Allegro North Tampa honestly care! I cannot thank them all enough for giving to my mom and mother-in-law the love and attention as if they were all just an extended part of the family. Thanks is not enough, but our family would like to thank the Allegro North Tampa family on behalf of Doris, Aaron, and Ouida.

The food quality, portion size, appearance and food variety has deteriorated after Allegro took over, most food isnt prepared on sight and unfortunately, I dont invite anyone to join me for meals due to embarrassment. Inventory control isnt adequate as product is on back order more than a few times and wait staff is excellent though more training is necessary before they are left alone to service customers. Some menu items at times are unavailable and excuses abound. We have been told from a salesperson that available transportation would transport us to doctor visits which is many times impossible due to our physicians scheduled days. The staff has dwindled to where the ones working are doing the job of others along with their own and for that reason, perhaps, pay raises would be an incentive for the remaining ones to stay. In a few departments, excuses are rampant by some, but others unbelievably efficient. A few people, after price increases, are speaking of leaving, not so much due to the price increase but for reasons I presented honestly. Jennifer, our Resident Service Coordinator, has been working very hard to maintain the status quo as she is confronted by many difficult residents, though she has moved forward with a professional attitude and tries to be fair to everybody which I know from experience may be nerve wracking. Jennifer also follows through with the resident requests and everyone praises her kindness and fairness.

We moved our parents to Renaissance in 4/17. It was a difficult move for all involved but the folks at Renaissance made it an easy transition. The staff couldn't be more warm, friendly and caring. They made my parents feel at home right away. The place is beautiful and safe. The food is excellent and my Dad gained much needed weight! The activities are plentiful, varied and interesting. We would highly recommend Renaissance should you be in need of a senior living place!!!! Also, during the hurricane ther staff and administration did a fantastic job at taking care of everyone and keeping them safe.

After moving my Mom here I was concerned that she would become a hermit because she left familiar surroundings. I have been pleasantly surprised that the staff got her involved in so many different activities that she seems to be so busy and doesn't have time to talk with me and my family. The staff told us initially that they work hard to get people to feel like they're family here. And I have to say I didn't believe him at first but it's certainly true. The staff seems to care very much and from what I've seen cares very much about the other residents just as much. Not quite sure who's preparing the food but I think I want to know their secrets because she seems to be eating a lot better here than she was before. I know that one time when I was there food really did look good.We are really quite pleased with the staff that initially talked with us and got us to move mom there. The surroundings are really great and there is a beautiful Lake and nice walkways and she really seems to be very happy here and that's what it's all about.

Renaissance offers a great continuum of care. The staff is committed to safety, health and quality of life. Their team believes in helping their residents reach their fullest potential. The campus is lovely with lots of sidewalks, oak trees and a small lake.

My aunt lived in an apartment there several years and was admitted to the infirmary/rehab section post hospitalization. She was on a new heart medication which was supposed to be given 4x a day for a certain period of time and then administered daily. As it happened, her first day there was the last day for the 4x a day. The appropriate medical abbreviations were used. Qid for 4x day and Qd for daily. Whoever transcribed the order missed the difference. One of the side effects among many is damage to the lungs. Since she was overdosed, she developed toxicity which subsequently severely damaged her lungs. As if that wasn't bad enough, the nurses did not recognize or believe my aunt when she said she was having difficulty breathing. My non-medical brother just happened to visit and even he knew that something wasn't right but they payed him no mind. He called a family friend who is a nurse and asked if she could stop by. She was there within thirty minutes, looked at her and immediately said, 'She needs to go to the hospital'. She was a former Director of Nursing and had them up and at 'em in short order. She died two weeks later.

When I heard this was the same company that bought out Horizon Bay, I was skeptical. Horizon Bay in Hyde Park was amazing. Then they were bought out and went to hell. Pure coincidence that the same company 'Alegro' happened to have bought out this place as well. Ok....the good...nice area, lake, etc...and the rooms are not tiny. The cons...housekeeping is completely useless. I keep buying bed liners and they keep losing them. Apparently separatING towels, from shirts, pants, etc.. is not a concern. It's all just flopped down mixed together.. the marketers flat out LIED!!! My 2 main concerns being cleaniness, housekeeping and whether my father was getting HIS clothes back from housekeeping. This facility has put more monetary and day to day stress than any other. DON'T GO WITH THIS PLACE OR THIS COMPANY. In response to the company. Yeah right... the practices and policies of this facility are still horrible. Thank God I have my dad home with me now. As a word of warning to anyone considering having their loved one reside at this facility, DO NOT be fooled by their slick marketing campaign. My father was never (despite promises on the company's end) privy to the pool, bar (that as of this recent edit to my posting) was never opened. I went to this facility literally with tears in my eyes because of (what I thought at the time) was a horrible situation at his previous ALF. The thing that is absolutely unforgivable is how they emphasized communication was an integral part of their coordination with family members. I maybe had a couple of phone calls returned DURING MY FATHER'S over 7 month stay!! I found him on the floor for god knows how long.. he is cognizant but nonverbal. For less than half the cost we are happily in a house together. How these people sleep at night I have NO IDEA. My dad was without power during IRMA, despite their assurances that they had backup generators. I don't know what their 'million dollar restoration' went into, but it definitely did not go towards the health and well being of their residents. I could go,on and on... They had their 'grand opening 'renaissance style', which is great, but maybe finish the roof first. Rather than have jugglers and people on stilts (that can't even fit in the building?). I have been a caregiver since 2011 and experience with assisted living facilities since 2013. I truly hope this post will cause someone considering having their loved one take up residence think twice. In most other states these practices would be ELDER ABUSE.
