My parents chose to move to Addington because we had close friends who had lived there. They and their children were very pleased with their care and always spoke highly of the staff. After five months I can confirm their experience. John Leinbach and Ashley Acosta have both been especially helpful getting both of my parents settled in and attending to their various health needs. The staff is caring and the physical and occupation therapies are especially excellent. The menus are varied and meals are well prepared. We are especially grateful for the great care and concern they have taken for all residents during the recent trying times.

I have been a resident of Addington Place (formerly Allegro) for about five years, first in assisted living and now in independent living and have been very pleased the entire time. I think the staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating and good service is provided in all aspects. To me the building is very attractive both inside and out and several upgrades have been done during my time here. Its surrounded by lovely grounds and the intra-coastal waterway. Theres a library, a heated pool, a hot tub, shuffleboard courts and an in-house beauty salon in addition to three dining rooms, a great room, an assembly room, a gym and each floor has a common area. There are many scheduled activities so its easy to spend the entire day participating in a variety of them ranging from exercise classes to art classes to group discussions, Bingo, card games and on and on. Theres also in-house entertainment. During normal times, outings are offered for shopping, eating at restaurants, attending baseball games, horse racing, concerts, plays, museums and special events. While there are no outings, visitors or any resident comings and goings during the pandemic, the staff is making sure that our individual needs are met and that there are in-house activities for us to do. All the residents have been tested and the staff is tested bi-weekly for Covid-19. The residents do feel safe.

I've been working with Addington Place for several years now. The community leadership is the best. Ashley & Justin run a great Assisted Living. John and Bev are so helpful getting people moved in. The building is well kept and the grounds are just beautiful. You can't beat the view. But the best of all is the people who live here. Just love the residents at Addington Place!

My Mom moved to Addingrton Pl. 7 years ago, she is now 91 and still in Independent Living. She has a great attitude. She loves it there. The staff has always been accommodating, polite, and professional, including during the virus lockdown. Im thankful to them for taking care of my Mother. The location is great, on the water with dolphins, fish, birds, and a constant boat parade. Access to downtown and the beaches is a breeze.. There were many activities my Mom took advantage of before the virus such as nice restaurants every Tuesday, Mahaffee Theatre , Dali Museum, shopping, and all transportation is free. She also loves exercise class and the pool, we used to swim with her, cant wait to do it again. The food is fine, I have eaten there many times. I loved the Omelet Station mornings. Of course they have glitches, but they seem to work them out, and want to work them out. I would recommend Addington Place to anyone.

My parents moved into independent living at Addington Place at College Harbor 7 years ago at the ages of 94 & 90. Their transition was pretty smooth because the facility was pleasant and comfortable. My parents enjoyed the beautiful walks, views of the water and some occasional fishing. My Mom especially enjoyed the pool and activities. The staff has always made the place special as they are always pleasant and helpful. Andrieka has always been there for any situation and she has such a kind heart. Alise provided lots of activities from flower arranging to Christmas decorations. John has been there to work through transitions. During this COVID-19 situation, he moved my Mom from her independent living apartment into her assisted living apartment and with his team, they arranged her furniture and belongings beautifully. This was above and beyond, greatly appreciated. Greta and Brandi always worked to keep everyone happy with the meals, and I know that is a daunting task. I enjoyed having dinner there with my parents often. My Dad passed away a couple of years ago and everyone was caring and respectful. Just recently, my Mom passed away. The skilled nursing team cared for Mom after a hospital stay, making her recovery successful. The assisted living team led by Ashley and Buffy made Mom comfortable and cared for during her final month. It was difficult with the COVID-19 lock-down, but they made it work with kindness and caring. There are many others I'm grateful for all they do for the residents. I'm very thankful my parents choose Addington Place.

My father has been a resident here for two years, recently after a hospital stay it became necessary to move him to the assisted living phase. The staff in both the independent and assisted sides of the organization were patient, understanding and did any amazing job helping the whole family through a stressful time. Change is hard and their patience and experience did wonders for my father during this transition. We were very lucky especially because we do not live nearby and they stepped in and up to help fill that void!

Planning for acute rehab, assisted living, and long-term care after a family member has experienced an unexpected decline in health is very stressful. Addington Place has helped my family navigate through the uncertainty with grace and love. I have been very impressed with my fathers care. Addingtons rehab department and staff are truly amazing, they always take time to update family members, even on unannounced visits. The administration, physicians, and staff really care about their patients and this makes me feel confident that I made the right decision by choosing Addington Place for my fathers care.

The place has very nice paint, nice piano, nice and clean hallways. What it doesn't have is what matters most enough aids. Your parent will be left to fend for themselves. Example elderly have to get themselves to the bathroom because nobody comes when they press the button they claim they do respond within 10 minutes. Multiple times I must have timed and ended up helping my parent day after day. My parent was very sad and frustratetd wanted to go home. Unfortunately as you realize at one point home is no longer an option. They serve pork chops elderly cant chew, hot dogs they can choke on and multiple times nobody in the eating room to cut the food for them. They assure when you sign escorts, meals cut if elderly has arthritis. My parent was forced to eat sandwiches day after day I felt terrible watching my parents frustration. The place could be straightened out but outside the nice walk throughs and oh so caring sales people all I can say is its a bunch of BS. All these places are the same. There were some staff that were good, but they were over worked, underpaid. IF you pay in banannas you usually get the same the same type of careless 90% of the time. I could go on but I assure you it is better than some of the others, but go in knowing this its NOT NOT NOT the best, its minimal and sad. The day my parent died to ease their pain was awful I wont get into the details but they could have eased my parents pain faster. The doctor they have is good, but doctors face it are doctors and this was end stage for us so I cant blame them for my parents loss but it would have been nice if my parents call button was not out of reached tied to the bottom of the bed so they could not reach it. Sad but all 100% true.

My father had been in this facility while it was under management by Allegro and was rehabbed and had a great experience so when we needed services again this was our first choice....what a difference a change in management makes...the experience for him as well as the family was horrible from a medical perspective ...they did nothing to manage his cardiac condition and seemed to be unaware of how to even begin to take care of this condition thus ending with me having to contact his cardiologist personally and an emergency transport to the hospital ordered by the cardiologist based on the information I related ...he was so compromised by the time he was admitted there was nothing that could be done and we took him home with hospice services and he has since expired...they stole time from us and when confronted for an explanation there really was not one given and I was told that it had been a learning experience for the nursing teamI have since communicated with the state of Florida who did do an investigation and they have been cited for care deficiencies and a report of those findings should be available in the next 40 daysI would not recommend anyone admit a loved one to this facility for medical care I would recommend the use of their therapy team on an outpatient basis as they are quite knowledgeable in their field as well as kind, caring and compassionate...

My client had a horrible experience. He was neglected and his wife was constantly misinformed. He only stayed 10 days and we moved him. The staff there is lazy and unprofessional.
