My mother was a resident in Lake Gibson Village for most of 2019 until we had to move her to memory care in early 2020. This facility is one of the most beautiful places Ive seen. There is both independent care and assisted-living. My mom went into assisted living but had access to all of the amenities that those in independent living had. Trips, in-house shows and concerts, a beautiful pool, gym, card games, exercise classes, great food... I seriously could live there! But the best part of all are the people that work there. Laura Tenpenny is the person we met with first and she is so wonderful. She knows every resident by name and keeps up with their interests. She is a delight. Then there are the receptionists including Sherry, Jennifer. Near the end when my mom was having issues I was calling them almost every day and they were all always so patient and kind. The nursing staff there is phenomenal. Laura and Daisy watched over my mom and made sure that everyone took care of her when she started having major issues near the end of her stay. I cant even name all the names of the people that helped out with my mom near the end before she had to move but I will always be grateful to them. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to live in a beautiful place, eat delicious meals, have a lot of activities and entertainment whether they are able to come and go as they like or if they need more care. This is the place to be in Lakeland!
