We had a great time during 'Happy Hour' last Friday as I entertained and the residents (and their guests) danced and sang along. My name is John Disbot and I am a Disabled Veteran. In February of 2018, my beautiful wife, Wanda, went into Hospice Care where she passed into the arms of the Lord. At that point, I found myself alone in our home. I quickly realized I needed to sell the house and find a place where I could have help with my disabilities, get good meals and meet people.While searching for places to move into, I discovered Arbor Oaks at Lakeland Hills and it fit the bill for everything I needed. The staff is kind and caring. My room is very comfortable. I have two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. I brought some of the items from the house I sold and put them into my new space. Now it feels like home. There is even enough space that my lift chair fits in my room so i can be comfortable sitting while I do research on my computer.I enjoy three great meals every day! I even have invited some of my friends here to join me for lunch or dinner and they all enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Im making friends and Im learning to play Bridge! I enjoy the musical entertainment that the staff has for us, the celebrations for all the holidays and our monthly luncheon outings. They are always fun! Everything is planned with detail and care and I appreciate all the effort that goes into each activity.The folks at Arbor Oaks make everyday a sunny day! I feel cared for and loved 24/7. My needs are always taken care of here. If you are looking for great place to go for yourself or for a loved one, I highly recommend Arbor Oaks. You wont regret your choice!
