Bartram Lakes Assisted Living Facility

The visitation restrictions have me missing my family so much! Today we have a car parade which was so wonderful. My family came by with signs and cheers. This is so hard but I am so happy to be at a place that does all they can to keep me in touch with my family.

My spouse has been in this facility, and there is very little good to say about it. It is clean, and the food is decent. The food portions are very small. The staff is usually in meetings or interacting with each other. They are definitely not patient oriented. Their focus appears to be finding ways to add to the monthly bills. The promised transportation to appointments is difficult to schedule, and they have left him stranded on one occasion. He was sent to the ER without my permission and without consulting his primary care position. I specifically told them not to send him without checking with his primary care, as I disagreed with the trip to the ER. They have paperwork saying he is no longer able to make independent decisions. The person who made the decision is an LPN, which seems to be the highest level of nursing care available to the patients. Most of the staff is not even trained at this level. Now they are saying that he decided he wanted to go to the ER. He is incapable of making these decisions. They refuse to pay for this UNAUTHORIZED trip to the ER. He was not presenting any danger to himself or others. He did not hit his head. He did not have chest pain. He was reaching up and down and chewing his finger. The hospital did an EKG and CT I and a complete work up, despite the fact that these are usually not done for the symptoms that are typical of his diagnosis. The staff changes completely once you have placed your loved one in care. I would urge all to tread carefully if you are considering placing a loved one in this facility.

I am a resident at Bartram Lakes and I am so pleased and happy to be here. The people care and activities that are supplied for me are excellent. I cannot believe how far I have come in my health and strength since moving into Bartram Lakes. I tell my daughters everyday how thankful I am that they moved me here. I always say from a scale of one to ten I give this place a thirteen

This place is very nice and so much fun! I am always out shopping, eating, and enjoying myself. Its easy to make friends here, the staff and neighbors are my friends. My daughter likes that I am busy and she does not have to worry about me being bored and unsafe at home alone.

I absolutely love living at Bartram Lakes. The people are friendly and there is much to do here. I enjoy the outings, daily activities and visiting with friends throughout the day. My apartment is beautiful and I love looking out the window watching people come in and out of the building. This place is great and I would recommend it to any person who needs assistance. I know my family feels better that I am here.
