I had a loved one in Henderson House. I was a bit unsure at first because the facility is old and could use some updating. But it didn't take long to realize what a wonderful place this was. From the manager to the kitchen staff to the care techs. These people are angels. They go far above and beyond the call of their job. I found every person that works there to be kind, loving, and caring. They treat the residents like family. The owner and office manager ( Daisey) were exceptional in assisting me with financial assistance paperwork and never turned us away when the money was short for rent.I cant say enough good things about Henderson House. I knew my loved one was safe and well cared for there.Wendy, Audrey and again, Daisey kept me informed every step of the way when my loved one had to transition to hospice. The residents like it there, the kitchen staff works hard to accommodate the residents. If you inquire about this place don't judge it by the looks. You will know immediately after talking to staff that , these people really do care. The only reason I didn't give 5 starswas because the building needs some work, but this owner is making upgrades as it is possible.

The folks who run this place genuinely care about people with special needs. The building shows its age, but the new owners have been making upgrades. You can feel the love.

Old building. Poorly maintained. Food is terrible. Food is only a step above jail food. Toilets Bach up, staff has limited training and the grounds are in horrible shape.
