We have clients at Concordia and find the facility, staff and residents warm and friendly. Our clients love the staff and find them very accommodating, friendly and resourceful. They always have creative and enjoyable activities and in the midst of the quarantine they have gotten very creative and have provided physical, mental and social activities with social distancing. I highly recommend Concordia on the Lake.

My mother has been a resident for several years and she has been thrilled with the activities, the level of upkeep and the friendliness of the staff. Our whole family has felt so thankful that she found such a great place to live. She moved to the area from out of state and was immediately welcomed into an impressive variety of activities and social networks. However, during the Covid-19 crisis the staff have outdone themselves. The Director has shown tremendous foresight and leadership in taking early and effective measures to keep everyone safe. The Activities Director, Marketing Director, Maintenance Director and all the other staff have done a great job of implementing these (often unpopular) steps, while still trying to provide safe activities. For example, during the stay-at-home orders they have been offering movies, documentaries and workout videos on their closed circuit TV channel. Our family wishes to express our deep appreciation for the great job done by everyone who works there, especially over these last few difficult months. Thank you for keeping our mom safe!

My mom has moved into Concordia on the Lake. She really likes the place. It is very well kept. The general manager is onsite. It is picturesque because it is right on a lake. It costs less than the other places. They provide activities and they have a couple of shuttles that take the residents to the bank or to the grocery store. Most of the activities are for entertainment purposes. They go to Broadway shows, they take them to casinos, and they take them to all sorts of different types of events. They do not provide meals, but my mom doesn't need meals right now because she is able to take care of herself.

UPDATE 2: My mom cant across yet another resident today who fell and hurt herself on the ice. You in the last few weeks have limited parking near the building and entrance because of ice and now have yellow caution tape around the front entrance. Residents cant get to their garages or cars in the lot without crossing ridges of snow and ice. Waiting for family to send photos to share. You absolutely know this is an issue and absolutely have fielded complaints. More to come. UPDATE: In response to the owner response. My mom has complained repeatedly. My sister in law complained in the last month after nearly falling. My Aunt called in the last week after nearly falling! Called several times because no one was in the office answering phones the first few times. So someone isnt telling the truth and it isnt us. I ordered an Uber for my mom earlier this week and the driver texted me about it! This problem is NOT CONFINED TO THIS WINTER! Complaints were lodged last winter by my family as well. If your issue is just this winter then why did you have to do a major structural change to the drainage? And if youve got all these people clearing sidewalks why did I personally complain to the one guy out there with a blow torch trying to melt ice when I nearly fell myself? So if I call this magical number tomorrow you will suddenly Address this? But if I do not then it never happened and isnt real? I think this response and the inaccurate claim that no one has complained is as concerning as the actual issue. Ill be sure to get some images and video footage to post. More to come. There are a lot of wonderful things about this community! HOWEVER, a major major issue is the fact they are incapable of keeping the sidewalks and front of the buildings free of ice in the winter!! This is an ongoing issue and complaints go nowhere. A resident fell on the ice recently and broke her hand and injured her face. Forget driving conditions. These residents are often house bound because they cant even walk out the front door to a shuttle or car picking them up without risking their safety. Its nearly impossible to get all the way out to your car or garage. One time we saw them out there trying to melt the thick ice that had built up with a torch. The water just pooled and refroze! This is a community for seniors! They are going to face legal liability if they dont fix this ASAP! Get an outside company to manage snow and ice removal! Every other public building in town manages to get it done. No excuse!
