This is what I looked like back then. I wonder if that sweet little old lady still lives here and would recognize me?? The one who was my only friend at the time. I had moved here from Salinas, note knowing a soul. Hi! If you're still there and reading this. Lol.! When I lived here back in 1998 I lived in;#1 and it was a cute little quaint place. But very nice. Very quiet. The sweet little old lady lived just 2 doors down from me and was the sweetest, most conical and open person I knew at the time, and really, the only friend I had at that time also. She was funny, down to earth and was not shy of any kind of chat at all, I remember that much. I also remember Fern,, the a manager of these apartments, and although she was kind of a major grump, and found it hard to like me for some odd reason, she DID admit to me that I was always on time with my rent, and the cleanest person she ever knew! I take after my mom. I know this. And she did also hook me up with this 'Fern' (pardon the pun) she had, or was it the other way around? I do know that with all of my try hard, die hard, people pleasing traits and my little attitude of indifference (I always act as if everything was grand and I have a tendency to 'kill em with kindness' so to speak, and she tried with everything she had in her, bless her grumpy heart, to get along with me and chat me up every now, more than then... Just bring nosy I surmise, However, I still wonder if she manages that place. I doubt it because at that time, 20 years prior to this day, she was getting ready to call it quits there and move on.....I wonder though.... Yeah, this place was cute and quiet and clean. Wish I still lived here though.
