My brother who is a mental health disabled Veteran lives at this home, Golden Years since 2010. My brother could not live with me & my family, as it was too much for us with his disability, constant appointments, so much medications and his behaviors and mood swings, we were referred by APS to look into this home and we are fortunate that my brother was accepted for care. As of today he is stable, alert and in good spirits. We could not find a facility that would accept SSA / SSI pay, in my area many homes were too expensive for care. With the cost and the care provided here, we are very pleased. I give four stars on behalf of my brother and my family, we are thankful for homes that care for low income individuals. Thank you for your continued services!George Adams

I am a case manager supporting several of my clients at Golden Years and I must say that the staff and services provided at this establishment is remarkable. Seeing the upkeep of this facility for the low income consumers with the necessities meeting my consumers needs, the stability and wellness my clients have shown since they moved in receiving 24/7 board and care lodging is amazing. Keeping in mind that these homes are providing 24 hrs. care, meals, housekeeping services, medication assistance, assistance with doctor appointments and much more and my clients pay a low monthly rate. I find it very difficult to find placement for my other clients due to the high cost private homes charge. It is a privilege for this community to have caring support like Golden Years in Chowchilla. In today's economy I am surprised to see board and care operators stay afloat, especially the management here. We have to commend their staff and management for supporting our consumers because without this home, our folks would be homeless. Giving my review is a way to share to the community that this place is a home that is desperately needed in every town!
