Heed our families warning and take your loved ones elsewhere. In the short time our family was with Oasis we had nothing but problems. The memory care unit has 16 residents suffering from memory loss of all levels, and are under the care of 1.5 caretakers. This is an Arizona law that facilities can create their own ratios, however it is not ethical, especially when there are serious needs not being met. Patients have walked out of the facility and nobody knew because there were no workers available. When patient was able to escape twice and no one noticed . In fact, it took a visitor of Oasis to return the missing patient. Oasis takes no accountability for this massive issue. At every visit we noticed our loved one sitting in their own waste, medications were missed for up to a week at multiple times, there is little order and much neglect. Hygienic products we provided sat for months untouched, as there was not enough hands to help. The building is incredibly attractive but this is the only appeal. The poor staff is overworked and all the blame is put on them as the executive director, Kathy Loschieder, burdens them with the responsibility of her job. Loschieder will hold your loved-ones residency over your head. When concerns are expressed, the response from the executive director is to consider going elsewhere since they're unhappy. Every family who has voiced their concerns has been kicked out under loopholes in the aggreements. Oasis it's not a christian-based company. They're hiding behind the good name of Christ. If you are looking for a level of care where your loved one is part of a unit where 15 people with high-risk special needs are being looked after one caretaker, then this place is for you. If you are looking for a level of care where your loved one isn't being properly medicated, engaged, or stimulated, Then this place is for you. If you are looking for a level of care where you have to live in constant fear of having your family abruptly removed every time you make a perfectly ethical statement, then this place is for you.I speak on our family and behalf of many of the families who feel hopeless and afraid to speak. We know we can no longer take care of our loved ones and we were/are trusting Oasis and they fall short.Until Oasis takes responsibility and listens to the people who they work for, I urge you to stay away.
