My Aunt has lived at The Winds now for just over a year and she absolutely loves it! Last year after some medical issues, she didn't want to drive anymore and wanted to be closer to her family (us) in Sedona. She has a very comfortable apartment and she loves the food! The staff is helpful and friendly. They are very flexible with scheduling rides to appointments and shopping, etc for her. My Aunt has joined the Pinochle and Cribbage groups and has made a lot of friends. We love having her nearby and knowing she is being taken care without being any burden to us.

These reviews dont seperate the assisted living from the Independent living side. They are essentially two different places under one name yet have different management. And even different cooking staff, etc. Two different building from one another. I work in the assisted living and dont even recognize the names of some of the other peoples reviews or recent complaints so can only guess it is about the independent living. For me this has been a great opportunity, I have done caregiving 15 plus years and the Winds has helped to expand more learning. They even pay for their caregivers to have the highest level of training in the State. (beyond CNA). All of the residents and staff are wonderful to work with. I have gotten to know many residents family and there are wonderful activities here too. It is helpful the caregivers here can focus just on caregiving and they hire housekeeping staff and wait staff in addition (which they didnt in the ;ast place I worked at in a different State) Great views here of Bell Rock and Courthouse Vista, nature trails, and at night, stars. The north side of the building, one can get a room with these views too. I am happy with the management here- more than most other places I have worked in past (and no not on management team- just a caregiver giving honest feedback!) They go out their way to hear caregiver and resident and resident family feedback and always try to offer the highest level of care.

Seemed like a nice place to work, till you get sick and call in and they pretty much make u resign so it won't look bad on you, and had no sympathy for me when my dad was on hospice, all the director or whever could say was 'he is on hospice care you know what that implies'...

Sedona Wind is a very nice place for seniors. They offer many activities and the food is wonderful.
