BridgeWater Assisted Living - Deer Valley

i worked at this deer valley location as a medtech/caregiver for 10 months. every month that passed by was getting worse. we did not have a wellness nurse for over 5 months. we were left to do most of the work with little guidance or no help . they have little interest for the residents and even less for the workers. there were times where it would only be 1 caregiver on the floor or just 1 med-tech to handle over 60 residents. when we finally got a nurse, it was someone with no experience at a big facility and it was just as difficult. caregivers often reported assault and behaviors from residents and we would just be told 'there's nothing we can do, just do not go in there alone' . i never felt safe or cared for by the facility. im sad that i wasted being an employee here. i realized just how messed up this place really is when i left to a better more caring facility.

DO NOT USE Union Hills Bridgewater, DECEASED FAMILY MEMBER. This is NOT a good facility for residents requiring higher level of care. Do not bring a loved one here unless they are able to care for themselves. If they can, it's a fine place. This facility has had multiple issues and Fire Station 50 is often there. Some entities are/will be investigating this facility due to recent issues. Most staff is friendly but I don't know if many are underpaid and don't care, but Bridgewater is not able to provide higher level of care. Too bad we trusted them with a family member who is difficult to deal with due to memory and brain issues. 1 star is given because they should NOT say they can deal with most levels of care when their staff is not prepared or trained to deal with all resident types. UPDATE - Our family member declined their meds to the point of confusion and ongoing issues. Staff failed to notify family. Due to medications not taken for 5 to 7 days, they ended up in the hospital and died 2 weeks later. DO NOT USE THIS CENTER.

Spoke to a nurse by the name of Barb who was extremely rude and hung up our call without letting me speak, called back to speak to management when my call was then answered and hung up on. Very unprofessional will not be using facility!

My mom has been there for a few months and the staff there are wonderful and attending to their needs. The executive director and nursing director are always available and very knowledgeable. I love having the Healthsense available to see how moms doing. Everyone loves the food. As good as a top rated restaurant. So lucky to have found BridgeWater Deer Valley. Best for my mom!
