My father, Walter Hagans, was housed at Gelas home for about a year. He passed away on Nov. 15, 2018 at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The Dr. said that his system was shutting down due to possibly a Tylenol overdose, we are not sure. What we are sure of is that my father was constantly complaining about only getting a bowl of cold cereal for breakfast and a sandwich with chips for dinner. He also said that there are no staff there at night and on many weekends. Other tenants also complained and one man had to call someone to bring food for them. There were also complaints about the cold at night and the lack of heat in the winter.I visited and found the facility (home) to be an older manufactured home with dogs and cats running all over the place inside and out. The smoke detector was dismantled and there was no batteries in it. My father passed away 12 days after paying his rent for the month, we requested a partial rent reimbursement to help with funeral expenses, Gela (Angelika Heird) agreed to pay the reimbursement. After a while, about 8 weeks, she wont take phone calls or respond to texts about the money.I personally would not recommend anybody staying at the place, our only option at the time was this place until we could get my father a Korean veteran into a VA facility which didnt happen in time.Last words, DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!
