Im not really sure how to rate this place at the moment. Around 4 1/2 years ago we placed my mom at The Legacy due to her dementia. We chose this place because it was small and had a family feel. At the time The Legacy was privately owned which was another reason we chose the place. My mom was private pay at the time so of course they were very willing to have her. Once she spent all of her money on The Legacy at the tune of somewhere around $7000 per month and became a state aide client things changed. They wanted to move her to a semi private room and my sister and I refused. The suites are designed for couples. So there is a bedroom that holds a bed and night stand and is very small. There is a larger living area and one closet and one bathroom. My mom would not even have a closet! So here we are during COVID and I receive a email from the director on a Friday of course letting me know that due to financial reasons they are moving my mom to this couple suite. Ashley is the directors name. She would not return emails or calls. So I went there today. Ashley is not a caring or compassionate person what so ever and should not be in the position of director. She has zero people skills. I do realize this is corporates decision but she lacks any empathy skills what so ever. The assistance, whom is also named Ashley is wonderful and should be the director. Now I hear that corporate might kick out all non private pay residents. My mom is currently under hospice care as well. So now during her declining state we are forced in to looking for another facility after she invested thousands of dollars in to the place. If the couple suite was designed for two non related people and had better room dynamics I would not mind my mom sharing a room. So in summary, if you are private pay you are golden. Once your money runs out forget it, they want you out. Funny how during COVID they are even allowed to accept new residents without testing them. Evidently they isolate them for 14 days. You might wonder if this is legal. Yup. They wont sign a contract either. At this point I would not recommend The Legacy. After five years Im very very disappointed.

Poor management, short staffed, unsafe, drama filled, gossip is unreal, FAVORITISM is huge with employees and management, unprofessional, and uneducated staff. I do not recommend working here or having anyone live here due to the fact of lack of educated or staff in general.

From the very first day that I talked to Ashley,I thought this would be a good place for my Mom. Went on the tour with Ashley O and she made me very comfortable, told me about all the wonderful things that they have and offer there at Legacy Assisted Living. The staff is very nice. It is very clean, open concept, and even if you have to share a room it very private compared to most other places. The roommates aren't on top of each other in this tiny space. Bathrooms are very roomy. Food is cooked everyday and is hot. Mom likes all the staff and they are very helpful,no matter who it is. I couldn't ask for a better place for my Mom.
