Some staff members are amazing, truly kind and loving individuals. But the management, Bonnie couldnt care less about the well being of your family member. She will say and promise anything to get your family member to live there. But dont expect her to be around more than once a month or to be polite or even check to see how they are doing. You cant expect the staff to do a good job if management doesnt care about the well being of the residents. Many employees clearly dont have the training and as a result do not handle medical issues properly resulting in serious injuries.

This is a truly terrible facility. They have left my grandmother in bed many times soaked head to toe in her own urine. The staff has forgotten to reorder her pills, making her wait days between doses. Diagnosed with a terminal cancer and bedridden, my grandmother has been forced out of bed by a nurse and this staff member has told us that 'she is not dying and can show us what a dying person looks like.' The staff is consistently outside taking smoke breaks, leaving the residents unattended. The staff ignores medication schedules set by hospice, and one of the staff members threw a television remote at my grandmother because her tv was too loud. If you love your family member and want them in a kind, caring, and safe placeI recommend staying as far away from Bay Harbor as possible.
