For the rehab part. I give it a one for the people who really cared there. And the food was good. Physical therapy was the best we ever had!! Place was new and nice. But there were days I would come in right before lunch and she had not been helped get ready for the day, soiled and in the same clothes from the day before. The floor had food spills on it from the 1st week we were there until the last week. And she was there for 60 days. Pills were not administered correctly. Call button was not attended to in a timely matter and again soiled because of it. Lunch food was still in the room at dinner time. Under staffed!! Lost several employees when we were tgere. Didn't bathe her even if it was scheduled. I had to ask several times.

Staff is great. However, they are understaffed. It took 4 weeks to get my MIL's bathroom cleaned! CNAs should not be doing cleaning especially when it takes the MedPass 4 hours to do her med set up and delivery. MUCH admin turnover even since middle of October. Food is good. Residents have demanded the owner be present at meetings. A nurse said it would not happen. We shall see. MIL is 83 and can toilet and bathe herself. Again, all the nursing staff is great! They are understaffed, though.

Oak Park Place - Nakoma is generously offering its beautiful facility on Sunday mornings for our congregation from Prairie Unitarian Universalist Society to meet most weeks. We have been gathering there most Sundays since August 2019 and we will continue to through the late Spring as our building's remodeling finishes up. Oak Park Place is a new building near the Beltline and Midvale BVLD. It offers senior living services and one of our members currently enjoys living there. In the photo, our congregation is conducting a business meeting in Oak Park Place's beautiful Orpheum.

Oak Park Place (OPP) on Nakoma Rd in Madison, Wis. is a new facility that opened in February, 2019 offering assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care facilities. My wife and I moved into an assisted living apartment here in March. OPP is the 3rd assisted living/skilled nursing home that Ive lived in since October, 2017, and it is by far the best one of the two previous places Ive lived. We were somewhat reluctant to move into a new place without a proven track record. However, we choose to move here after visits, interviews with members of the staff, and recommendations from friends. We also learned about the successes of other Oak Park Places in the area. We both like living very much at OPP. The first things I immediately noticed here are the friendly smiles and caring attitudes of the CNAs, as well as other employees. These CNAs love people as well as working here, which is reflected in their excellent service. They treat each resident like a special person without showing any favoritism. The staff also has an ability to successfully hire additional superb CNAs needed as more residents move in. Each resident has a pendant to summon service from the CNAs around the clock. There is a person assigned to follow up on any service request not answered within 10 minutes. Only two times have I had to wait more than 10 minutes for a CNA to appear after pushing my pendant. The meals here are very tasty and filling. There are food options available in case someone doesnt like the main course. The one disadvantage for residents with cars is that underground parking is available only for employees. Otherwise, Oak Park Place on Nakoma Rd. is a wonderful facility. Happy to have you join us!

My wife and I moved into the assisted living (AL) floor at Oak Park Place Nakoma three weeks ago. We were anticipating a good experience based on our search over the preceding year plus. The reality, however, has exceeded our expectations. We believe this high quality will continue. Our search took in both large and smaller assisted living facilities. All were well established and recommended to us by knowledge persons. Therefore we feel we saw a representative sample of the good AL facilities on Madison s west side. We reached several conclusions. First, the staff was excited to work there. Second, Oak Park Place Nakoma management intensionally designed spacious public areas on the entry floor and on the common areas on the AL assisted living floor. Third, the apartments themselves were good sized and compared well with the competition. Fourth, we felt the prices for a couple like us very competitive. Finally, we would be the first couple to live in any apartment we chose.Since moving in we have encountered minor problems. The important takeaway from these encounters is that all have been or are being addressed by management. We have also observed that staff are not only pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable but very proactive in meeting the needs of residents. We believe this bodes well for the quality of care in the days to come. In conclusion, we strongly recommend you include Oak Park Place Nakoma in you search for AL. If you find it meets your needs, we recommend you be confident of a good experience after moving in.
