I want to extend my personal heartfelt thanks to the owners Rachel and Chris, nurse manager Stacy, and the caregiver staff of Tender Hearts for providing a beautiful apartment, safety & security, and care with kindness during the final months, weeks and days of my mothers life. Though it was not the easiest of times, I cannot imagine what those days would have been like without competent and compassionate care from the staff of Tender Hearts and Heartland Hospice (Jen, Jenna, Pastor Brooks) to manage her physical and emotional pain. In the end, her death was peaceful and brought her the relief and happiness that she could not rediscover after her stroke in May of 2018. This would not have been possible without the care she received at Tender Hearts, where they strive to do their best in challenging circumstances.

They provide near satisfactory care. However every time something needs to be addressed the owners seem to have an absurd excuse. We have had my mother there for two years and they seem to keep services just above the hassle and disruption of her comfort to move her to another facility. We are looking again as they increased cost at a constant and slow pace that those in the past that seemed too expensive are now the cheaper option. Our family is again contacting other CBRFs to locate a more honesty and accountable agency. Someone who might change her light bulb instead of a residents family member feeling bad as she requested and was informed only the owner can change light bulbs. Also, we hope to keep her dentures out of the facilities wash machine.

Family friendly, caring staff, clean facility, good home cooked food. Tender Hearts is a family run facility, not a large cooperation and it really shows in the amount of care and compassion starting with the owners and continuing on with the dedicated staff. No person is ever left behind or forgotten in this facility. The staff treat each and every resident as if they were their parent or grandparent. Its a very family friendly facility with a highlight being Friday Happy Hours with family, friends, staff and Residents coming together to enjoy snacks and nurture relationships. Tender Hearts truly lives up to its name with the amount of care and compassion the staff gives to each resident and their families!

Met with Chris the owner twice in 1-1/2 years. the second time was yesterday. Both times was promised a room for my parents. His words were 'my handshake is my word' no need for any signatures today. 'You have the room.' Both times he recanted his promise and said his wife the nurse had already given the room, he showed us during the walk through, to someone else. He even set up the evaluation meeting with his nurse and made it for the next day with my parent. His word is worth nothing. Sorry Chris you seem like an upstanding man but this is inexcusable for happening twice. Get it in writing as it seems he is not a man of his word.
