Grancare Nursing & Rehab Center

Grancare is a complete dump. While I worked there I witnessed the following1. A man with a severe infection on his heel due due neglect was shaking perfusouly. Kathy the RN was notified and did absolutely nothing. She didn't even bother to check vitals. It took 12 more hours and a different nurse Hector to recognize something was terribly wrong and the man was finally sent to the hospital. Come to find out it was related to the infection.2. Dorian the nurse was constantly belittling the CNA's. She had a CNA in tears for not knowing how to transfer a call on a phone she was never taught to use. She also played favorites with her mother who happened to be a resident in the hall she worked.3. The housekeeper screamed swear words at me from 20 ft away for residents and everyone else to hear.3. Residents were denied showers on a daily basis due to lack of staff.4. I never saw Brianna in before 8 am. I never saw her interact with the staff or residents in a positive manner. When the state was in for a annual survey..she was there at 6 am and bought pizza for the staff. Way to put on a show.5. They allowed family members to use mechanical lifts. They would litterly make the resident who was asking to use the bathroom wait until 6 pm when they knew the family would be there to do it.6. They would leave residents in bed and not get them up for meals.7. It was very common for the facility to have ZERO linens for personal care. We would have to substitute with sheets or a blanket.8. A women who was private pay had a bed that you could not fit the Hoyer lift under. It was teported to the nurses and DON several times by several employees. The answer was ' she's private pay and that's her bed. She was unsafly transferred and would end up half way off the bed . Nobody would address it.Whoever owns the facility is clearly only in it for money. The facility is a compete free for all.Where anything goes.Run by a bunch of incompatent idiots

The staff at Grancare have taken great care of my parents. The Social Worker is very attentive and always will help out as well as all the nursing staff. Great Job and keep up the good work.

Although my mom's stay was short, I knew from the beginning that the staff were very caring, hardworking and accommodating. Many of the staff that I met have been at Grancare for a long tenure and love their residents as if they are family. Although the facility is older everything was well kept and clean.

Under New Management / Great Caring Team

The Facility is under new Management who are all striving to provide quality care. The Administrator is great, they have a new Activities Assistant who really cares for the Residents. My father was there and would definitely return again if needed.
