Everyone is super nice and very attentive. The activities are well attended and the residents I have met all have good things to say about Elmcroft of Martinsburg. The food is great... from the main entree to the dessert. If you do not like the main dish they are serving you have another choice. Breakfast is either menu or made to order eggs and bacon. They have a van that takes residents out shopping, out to eat, and to doctor's appointments. After researching amenities, and visiting several places from Hagerstown to Winchester, I will tell you the pricing cannot be beat and is competitive for our area. Most importantly they seem to really care and are all so nice! So happy we found Elmcroft!

Went there for an interview for the CNA position on 9/21/18. I talked to Erin and she told me she would let me know either way about the position. 10/1/2018 will make two weeks since she said she would let me know. I feel this person shouldn't be employed there if she can't do her job correctly!!!!!

I brought my mother here from the hospital because she wanted to be back home in WV. At the time she was requiring 24 hour care and we thought she would be spending six months with Elmhurst. The head nurse Colette Robinson was wonderful, she quickly assessed her and recommended we involve Hospice to help with pain management. Her staff was competent and caring. My mother was able to spend her days free of pain, receive visitors, and even have meals with her friends and family in the dining room. I was pleasantly surprised to find the food very good! Unfortunately, her condition declined rapidly and she only spent a short time there. Truly this is when the high quality of care becomes apparent. We were very happy with the care she received and with the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Ms. Robinson in particular knows her stuff and we appreciated her knowledge and guidance. Elmcroft is an excellent facility. We definitely recommend it.

Elmcroft has been home for my mother in law for 2 1/2 years and my aunt for 5 months. As a nurse, I will attest to the fact that there is no perfect place for our loved ones away from home. But in a perfect world my 88 year old mother in law would not suffer from dementia nor my 93 year old aunt suffer physically OR I could offer the 24/7 care myself. The staff at Elmcroft have treated my family members with nothing but compassion and respect and go out of their way to make them feel special. I know this because I see my mother in law reach out to hug them and hear my aunt tell how they patiently help her shower and take the time to rub her back. The staff is always curteous to us and keep us informed of what's going on. They offer activities to keep them engaged as well as nice events for the families. I can rest knowing my family members are safe, content, and are getting the attention I am unable to offer them on a daily basis.
